My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Miryan's cabin. We loved it, so close to the center of the city yet one feels like one is in the country. Miryan was an amazing host. She brought us something almost every morning: eggs from her chickens, fruit or avocado from her trees, home made breads and freshly squeezed juices. My husband and I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood, meeting new people and buying produce and the many family owned stands. The house is rustic, this is not the Ritz but if you want to truly experience Ecuadorian culture, this is the place. Miryan has three dogs that came by often to say hello. If you are afraid of dogs or just don't care for them, this is not a place for you. For us, it was a perfect 2 weeks.

The place is perfect for a getaway from the city. The proximity to Imbabura and the surrounding nature let you relax in this quiet and cozy cabin. Highly recommended! Katty and Lionel are great hosts! Generous and attentive people (without being intrusive). They left several things for breakfast and shared vegetables from the garden, which seemed like a nice touch. On the list of places to return to :)

Apartment is located in centre of town across from Parque de Matriz, the church and close by the municipal offices. We arrived by bus, Luis was across the road and waved us over. What a relief after a long journey by bus! We will stay with Luis and family again. Thanks Luis.

The cottage was simply wonderful! The gardens, views of Lago San Pablo, friendly housekeepers (Yolanda cooked for us and was delicious!) made our experience fantastic. We took our family of 12, including 3 children and we all had a great time. Kids could play safely in the gardens, spend time with nature. The area is very accessible and there are lots of activities (boat ride, local food, travel to Otavalo and Cotacachi is easy. We will definitely come back! It was a very pleasant experience, the rooms were very nice and tidy. Everything was spotless, just like in the photos. An excellent place to stay with family and pets, our dog enjoyed the lawn very much ☺️ The hosts were very attentive, and were always there for us.
