Beachfront vacation rentals in Oregon

This was our second trip to The Rocky Whale in the last six months. We love it here. For us, the location is incredible. We spend as much time on the beach possible and being able to cross the street to the dune path and be at the ocean in less than 5 minutes is incredible. Low-tide tide pools? Check. Entire groups of seals? Check. Eagles? Check. Milky Way on a clear night? Also check! We are grateful for the ability to bring our dogs and the big open space downstairs to be able to house their crates. The bed/bath/kitchen has always been clean and comfortable and when the storms come through being able to hang out in the big living space upstairs and keep ourselves entertained (tv… storm… games.. etc) has come in handy. The kitchen is well appointed. We eat in when we stay here and there is nothing we haven’t been able to handle (sometimes a little improvisation is needed!) We were never able to find the tv remote on our second trip… but there is an app for that.

Our family stayed for two nights and had a blast watching movies, playing games and walking on the beach. House has a beautiful view of the bay and the bridge. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.

We had a great time here! Pretty views but a bit of a walk to the beach. The 70s vibe was awesome and fun! Plus the house is stocked up with kitchen stuff and some toiletries.

Nice quaint cottage on the beach. It has great beach access, but a little steep for folks that have mobility challenges. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything you should need to cook a meal. We loved the mud room area for the wet pup to dry off a bit before coming inside and the family area upstairs with beautiful views (especially at sunset). If I had any feedback for future updates would be the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was pretty weak, but yet the pressure in the sink is so strong your clothes get wet. Also the clawfoot tub is a nice touch for bath takers, but getting in and out of the tub for showers is a risky undertaking. There is really nothing to really grab onto other than the shower curtain and I was very concerned for my 69 y/o mother. All in all…this was a great stay and I would definitely return!

Carol was an amazing host, very responsive and offered early check-in! The home was super comfy and housed our 8 woman book club well. Really loved the quiet, the hot tub, and the short walk onto the beach. Would definitely stay again!!

We loved staying here. Beautiful view lovely little beach. My son loved exploring. I got to have my coffee and watch the waves. Clare was very communicative. We had everything we needed and felt very comfortable. We hope to visit again sometime.

What an amazing place! This is the perfect spot to relax on the coast. Glenna's beach cottage was clean, cozy, and the view can't be beat! We loved the quiet neighborhood, easy access to Gleneden beach, Lincoln City and Depoe bay. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches that helped us and our dogs settle right in. Glenna has a whole binder of useful local info and recommendations and our dogs loved getting to play with some of the toys that were left for canine guests. We're so glad we found this stay and look forward to visiting again in the future!

By far, this was the best place we have stayed at. Easy to find. Loved walking the beach and the neighborhood. Very welcoming for us and our dog. The snacks were great after traveling all day. We appreciated the wine. Very personable and loved how the house was decorated. The extra personal supplies came in handy since my daughter forgot her toothbrush. We absolutely just loved looking out at the ocean. Thank you. We will be back.

This place was so good! AMAZING VIEW! This was just right AND they let us check in early. Beautiful view of the beach and ocean from sitting on the couch or at the table, nice coffee bar and snacks, comfortable bed, clear instructions, and SO MANY extra pillows and blankets, which makes me happier than you could know! It really had everything we needed and being on the ground floor was definitely a plus since my husband was on crutches. It was a really great stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to friends & family.

My family and I had such a great time at your lovely home! We loved the neighborhood, my grand daughter’s name is Olivia so she thought the house was picked just for her!

The house was welcoming from the very first moment we got there. Everything was placed in a perfect way and labeled. Never had to look very hard for anything. The house was super well stocked and had all the amenities to make us feel right at home. It was a wonderful location, amazing to just literally step right off the deck and be on the beach. When down on the beach it was very quiet and never busy. Felt like we had our own beach most of the time. Debbie was a wonderful host and always there if we had a question. I would highly recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

Joan and Rick have a BEAUTIFUL home with great beach access. My family and I were wanting an easy get away from the chaos, and we found that here at this location. I would definitely recommend this to someone else visiting the area!

This is a great place, I’ve stayed twice. Love the onsite parking, hot tub on the balcony, kitchen with everything needed. It’s very close walk to the beach, about a block away. Activity room only has a pool table and TV, would be cool to see another pool table or shuffle board added.

Beautiful condo with an incredible view of the beach. Loved the neighborhood, there were so many good places in walking distance or within a short drive. It was a very comfortable place, set up well. They even had little snacks for us! Also, the soundproofing on the windows is great, you couldn't hear any outdoor sound at all. Also super nice to not have a long to-do list at the end of our stay.

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving at the Heron House! The location was great - walking distance to town and to a small beach at the mouth of the river. The beds were comfortable and the kids had a fun time trying out the various sleeping nooks. The kitchen had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving meal. We even got in a round of tennis at the nearby courts. Wish we had visited in the summer to swim in the river. Would definitely stay again!

The home we stayed in was beautiful and had more then enough room for everyone in our party. Any questions we had were answered immediately . Simply wonderful home literally in the middle of the sand dunes on the beach. Fantastic beach home and super communications with the owners. Don’t miss the halibut fish and chips at Luna in Yachats or Seal Rock, plus outstanding restaurants in Newport and amazing beach hikes at Thor’s Well and Seal Rock. Simply a fabulous week!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was so beautiful. We didn’t want to leave! It was very comfortable and the view was breathtaking. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely love staying at James's place. perfectly situated right next to the beach where are kids could run out and play anytime they wanted to without us being too far if they want to go out on their own. The condo fit our family of five just fine, though our children are still quite small, so we had two to a bed. The home was in great shape and very tastefully decorated and well-appointed. The house rules they had instituted were helpful and provided a peace of mind that the place would be kept clean both before we got there and for us to continue to keep it clean while we were there. if there is any sort of critique, it is definitely not of the apartment or the location as it relates to the beach, but the town itself doesn't have much by way of amenities. no great restaurants. no great shopping. but if all you're looking for is a great beach and a drivable grocery store about 20 miles away, this worked out perfectly for us

We had a lovely and relaxing time. Breathtaking views! Loved that it was a quick walk to the beach but also felt private.

Breathtaking views, great kitchen, backyard secure, private and perfect for children; quiet, lovely neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The house was very well equipped for young children, playpen, highchair, toys, etc. The beds were all very cozy with cotton sheets! We miss this home and cannot wait to return.

Monica’s house was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with most anything you would need. The location gives you easy access to the beach and the little development it is in was quiet and secure. We had a lovely stay. I would recommend Monica’s house to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing stay by the beach.

We enjoyed our stay for Spring Break. The property looked just like the pictures very clean, nicely decorated and private. We didn't have any issues with the heating system. The thermostat worked like any other and we set it to our comfort zone. The home was fully equipped and I appreciated the extra items in the bathroom (since I forgot a showercap). There was plenty of space for us to be together and have alone time. We'll definitely book here again!

Absolutely fabulous place, beautiful sights. Amazing house. Loved the early check in and late check out. We will definitely stay here again if available. Easy walk to the beach. We really enjoyed watching the weather and having a fire.
