"De Gulle pracht" Holiday home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd, located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero "de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is 1 large open space upstairs with no privacy.

Peace and quiet in Barsingerhorn, Noord-Holland.

Without stairs and thresholds. Centrally located in a hamlet in Hollands Kroon. Very complete studio. With terrace. Surrounded by old Dutch landscape with beautiful villages and 3 coasts 15 km away. Cities such as Alkmaar and Enkhuizen are nearby, but Amsterdam is also not far away. How about a day on the bird island of Texel?! Schagen with all its restaurants and shops is 5 km away. Noord Holland Pad and bicycle junction are around the corner. Molenslag golf course is 250 meters away! You are warmly welcome.

Chalet WadGeluk on Terschelling.

Nice chalet on family campsite on Terschelling! Centrally located on the island and 1 km from the beach. The chalet is cozy and fully furnished: equipped with central heating, dishwasher, combi-microwave, 2p bed of 160x200 cm and two 1p beds of 80x200 cm. Outside, you can sit comfortably with views over the meadow. The chalet is non-smoking. At an additional cost, you can rent bath and kitchen linens and/or outsource the final cleaning. During the period from November 15 to March 15, the dog is allowed.

Vlieland, cozy and fully equipped tent

Fully tastefully decorated tent. Storm-proof, large canopy fully lockable sleeping tent which can be used in two parts for 4 people. 1 double bed (with mattresses) and 2 sleeping mats. Incl. gas heater, refrigerator, solar panel for charging phone, tablet. The tent is located at the campsite Stortemelk, section red. Ideal sunny spot with plenty of privacy due to wind screens 10m from the beach entrance. We do not rent to young people under the age of 22 (this is due to the rules of the campsite).

Luka's Hut, eco-cabin with sauna by the river

Luka's Hut, our beautiful eco-cabin, sits on the banks of the Ganzendiep river in Overijssel. Huge windows provide stunning Dutch views onto the river, the grass meadows with cows & sheep and a picturesque village in the distance. The river is quiet water so have a sauna & a swim, take out the kayak, big canoe or SUPboard. We have a heatpump for the floor heating, and used upcycled items such a charming wood-stove, a fantastic bath, a fully-equipped kitchen, bikes, a firepit & trampoline.

In a historic place near the lock/port in Workum is this colorful apartment "Loft" (Frisian for Air). A beautiful place on the water. Within walking distance of IJsselmeer and city center. Includes use of 2 canoes and motorboat. New (unique) dining kitchen and beautiful fresh bathroom. Double box spring and a comfortable sofa bed. A panoramic window overlooking farmlands and IJsselmeer. Waterfront terrace with cozy seats. WiFi! Unique place on open water and lots of nature!

Bed & Beach Sea of Time

Cozy, complete, clean, stylish, that's what our guests often write. The B&B is suitable for 2-3 people. Spacious living room with private shower and toilet and private entrance. Beautiful upper floor with a lovely box spring. In the living room, a nice sofa bed. Good WiFi, smart TV, Nespresso machine, coffee maker, milk frother, kettle, fridge, combi microwave and kitchenette (no cooking facilities). Gourmet, wok, etc. are not allowed. Breakfast is not included in the price.

Buitenhuis, sustainable design chalet on Terschelling

Our love for nature is reflected in the design of this sustainable chalet. Yet you lack nothing; simplicity and comfort go hand in hand. Despite the limited space, it is wonderful to stay here, everything is available for a relaxing stay. The cottage has a lovely spacious terrace and lawn facing south. There is a nice seating area overlooking a fantastic outdoor fireplace with pizza oven! During school holidays, only available for weekly rental with arrival on Friday!

Here in the quiet Frisian Rohel, you can really be outside, feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. Cycling and walking along the meadows and (cold) swimming in the Tjeukemeer. Drink a glass of wine on the terrace by the water, with the view of infinity, under the old fruit trees in the garden. Apart from the sounds of birds, the rustling of the wind and in the distance a tractor, you hear nothing at all here. The sunsets can be amazingly beautiful here.

Guesthouse Út fan Hús

The Út fan hús apartment has two bedrooms with a double bed, a living room with sofa bed, a kitchen with fridge and bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment has its own entrance. From the apartment, you have a wide view over the Frisian Greiden. It is located on the water, where you can swim and fish. You can also use 1 or 2 person canoes, a boat and bicycles for free. The city of Sneek is a 15-minute drive, Leeuwarden is a 30-minute drive.

De sfeervolle woonkamer is heerlijk licht en door de glazen pui, voorzien van zonnewering, over de volle breedte van de living kunt u de gehele dag genieten zowel binnen als buiten. Beautiful apartment with 2 bedrooms. All to yourself. At the back, a spacious garden room with fireplace and next to it a private garden. You can heat the garden room with the fireplace. In winter, it may be too cold to sit there with just the fireplace. Bathroom has a 2-person bathtub and a double shower. The bathroom also has a washing machine and dryer. Wonderful apartment to stay completely on your own and enjoy the tranquility!
