That place is a jewel. I would stay there ten nights if I would do it again. Ometepe was fantastic and that place made it even more special. All the island is reachable from there with a motorcycle. The most beautiful sunset of Nicaragua is from the backyard there. Amazing patio. Cutest inside. Thank you so much. I will recommend it to my friends for sure!

Honestly, one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have ever stayed. We watched a horse and her baby walk the beach in front of us, picked mangos off the ground, and jumped into the lake all day. All around wonderful experience. Thank you David, Rebecca, and Team! We will be back.

A wonderful place to escape! Perfectly located by the lake yet easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house is very spacious for the price with everything you might need included, well equipped kitchen and plenty of outdoor seating including a hammock to enjoy the view. Yariela was always available to respond to messages straight away and happy to help, her family and neighbours were incredibly welcoming and friendly. This would definitely be my first choice when I return to Ometepe!

It was a magical experience staying with Che. Beautiful bamboo cabañas and ours had a lake view. Che was responsive, helpful, generous and has lots of stories if you get talking. The gardens are exquisite and you’re allowed to pick your own herbs, ginger, turmeric and star fruit. If you are thinking about renting out one of his spaces, don’t hesitate, just book! It’s the most beautiful place my partner and I have ever had the luxury of staying. Can’t recommend enough.

We loved this place, the garden, the view, the seaside, the place is peaceful and serene, we recommend it without any reservations, heavenly place. Our host was available and discreet at the same time, she gave good advice. We came as a family with children and grandparents and we all leave this place hoping to return one day. Very helpful and pleasant staff, delightful setting, very good food at good prices. Facilities are a bit basic but this is clear from the description. The two more modern rooms with en suite look like the best option - there are two basic private rooms, plus rather cramped dorms (which received no complaints). There is a nice restaurant area and a nice relaxation area with views of the lake (and sunsets). The excellent Santa Cruz-San Fernando beach is about 4km away, and buses can take you (slowly) further afield. The walk up to the nearby waterfal is hard yacka in the heat - much better to drive a hired scooter up the first 2km of trail. Overall, great value for money and a nice place to relax with the two delightful inhouse dogs and nice family ambience.

Our experience with Erik's Airbnb couldn't have been better. The location of his place is great, just in front of the calm waters of the lake and also only 10 mins on a bike from the port. The place itself was very beautiful, quiet and clean and Erik was a wonderful host, very friendly and full of expert advice. Would definitely come back.

Our stay with Luis' family was one of our best experiences of the trip! Warm welcome, delicious food and nice long walk on the beach just in front. The place is quite remote so you will need to rent transportation to explore the area. It was easy to arrange and the person came to bring and pick up the motorbike directly on site. We wish this wonderful family all the best and hope to keep in touch! The cocoricos ;)

As indicated in the description, Spike's place is more remote than other places and was a bit of a haul on the moto but it was worth it. The room was very comfortable, clean, with a great breeze at night. The only noise at night was the lapping of the waves of the lake and howler monkeys and roosters in the morning. It was not far to San Ramon to hike to the waterfall and the lakeside there was also nice for swimming. But the best part were Orli and Carla who were amazing hosts (Spike was away) and made great meals even given my daughter's dietary restrictions. They were very helpful for anything we needed and super friendly. We loved our relaxing week there.

The location is a DREAM! I couldn't believe the views we had - and swimming with our private beach was incredible. We couldn't wait to wake up to head to the deck in the morning, and the sunset swims were another highlight. This location is everything and it's a really. nice casita and kitchen. It is like going glamping, there is no AC or hot water. (It does get hot so quick showers were easy). The ceiling fan is strong, if you're able to sleep with that right above your head. The hosts are so nice and really care about your experience on the island and have the best tips. One of the best life experiences!

I went to Nicaragua looking for time in nature and a unique Airbnb experience. I found it! JC and Lisseth’s place is an amazing working farm with fruit trees, chickens and birds. Lots of birds! I was warmly welcomed and treated like to amazingly fresh and tasty food. I had a fabulous massage, helped with English class for local children and swam in the nearby lake. I absolutely loved my time with JC, Lisseth and their family. You should know that there are dirt paths that are kept very clean to reduce dust and mosquitos sometimes arrive at night and are easily controlled with bug spray. This is a unique place to stay amongst a lot of nature and very kind people.

This was a great place to stay. Close to San Ramon waterfall, a nice view of Conception volcano, nice sunset and a 45min kayak each way to Istan River. Free breakfast was tasty, dinner was good and beers were cold. They also had the option to refill your water from the garrafón to limit waste. The AC worked perfectly and the mosquito net did the trick as well. WiFi was a little spotty in the room but was fine outside in the hammock or restaurant areas. This was better than expected on Ometepe. Would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic few days here!!!!! It’s rustic and no frills but literally on the beach - walking out to that view every morning was unbelievable. The beds were clean and comfy. It’s windy at night and noisy with the ocean right there but personally for me the sound of the waves crashing was bliss. The restaurant was great and it was just perfect for what we wanted. Air con really isn’t needed because of the natural ventilation. Their dog was the best too :). Thank you for a memorable stay.

Hector and isabel were great hosts! The appartement has a perfect location, it's next to the beach in santa cruz and close to some restaurants and shops. The apartment was clean and it had everything we needed. We felt really welcomed and comfortable in Hectors house. We had a lot of fun and interesting conversations with hector. He showed us his finca and we got some really good fresh fruits. If we needed something, we just could ask him and he helped us or gave us some recommendations. We met so many friendly people there and we had a really good time in his house. We are looking forward to come back! Thank you!

We spent several nights here and felt very comfortable. The place is very quiet and separated from the lake only by a small sandy path. Sometimes mopeds driven by locals pass by. The kitchen is well equipped, the terrace is very cozy with rocking chairs and hammock. We found it much nicer than in the photos and would come back any time.
