House vacation rentals in Old Town, Alexandria

Location is great to Old Alexandria. We were nervous about being able to always have an open street spot because we had 2 cars; but it was no issue.

We had a great stay here for my graduation weekend! The place fit all 10 of us and we had access to the pool throughout the weekend! Everything looked just like the pictures, and we felt safe and comfortable in this neighborhood. It is a bit farther from some of the DC and MD hotspots, but it worked for us. No complaints, we would stay again!

Incredible! The WoW factor when we walked to the pool was overwhelming. So much so, that we chose to stay there our first full day to soak in the atmosphere. It's a must see experience, no down side. It was like being at a private resort with a heated, well maintained pool and manicured grounds, very tastefully staged. So envious. Next time, we will bring bicycles to ride to town, it's only a few miles away. DC traffic is not to be trifled with; its Nascar. Our only bad part was Gladys wasn't around to say goodbye, we truly missed out there. We loved every second we spent with her. This is by far the high bar of airbnb's for us, and we've been to some stunning places, but this is our favorite. It was the best part of our trip!

This was a very nice place to stay for our family trip to DC. The Metro was a very easy walk and Jagan gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants as well. He was also great at answering our questions.

This family home radiates warmth and the personal tastes of its owners. It is welcoming, and comfortable with an exceptional kitchen, good beds, and interesting art. Our family of 3 and our dog were here on business. After a tiring day, the informally landscaped yard was a private, serene oasis just minutes away from urban activity. And the pool is more beautiful than its picture. Patricia is a perfect host in every way. We recommend her home highly and would rent it again.

Kevin communicated with us well and the house was great. We had lots of room and the pool was wonderful. We plan on coming thanksback again.

All decorated for Christmas, you made our holiday stay so special. Decor was beautiful yet comfy with plenty of seating for everyone (7). Loved the bathrobes for everyone, even for various sizes of children! Such fun! The bathrooms were updated and lovely. The kitchen was well-supplied. The cookies left out were amazing. Plenty of cozy throws for coziness. The location was great, too. So walkable to King Street, parks, the wharf, and grocery stores ( Trader Joe’s and Harris Teeter). This was one of our favorite places to stay!

Terrific stay at a great location! Easy walk to the Metro station to get into DC. Or take a water taxi from the wharf to the waterfront across the river. King Street is only a block away for shopping and restaurants, yet the home itself is on a quiet street. We enjoyed the patio for coffee and croissants from the nearby French bakery. Besides the location, the home itself was comfortable and impeccably clean. We also appreciated the extra touches - fully stocked kitchen , even with spices and paper towels provided. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and linens for our party of 4. Having 2 reserved parking spaces in the middle of the city was great. I can highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to tour DC without the hassle of driving and parking in downtown DC. Do the museums and memorials, then come home and relax in charming Alexandria in this comfortable home.

Loved our stay in Old Town at Tony's house. Can't beat the location. We were able to take the train and walk easily to the house. Daily breakfast and coffee at the cute bagel shop next door was a breeze. The quaint little custard shop directly across the street was a delight. Easy transportation up and down King Street for free on the trolley and quick, cheap access to DC via the metro made the location second to none. Tony was extremely responsive and friendly. We would stay here again!

Great location! Lots of stairs, so mindful of that if you have any seniors in your group. The beds were comfortable and clean. Walkable to a lot of shops and restaurants!

My pup and I enjoyed our stay at Maggie’s place! The fenced in yard and private parking was truly appreciated in this busy area. I loved walking to local coffee shops and stores in Old Town. Very clean and comfortable! We felt right at home!

Home away from home except a lot nicer. Location was perfect just far enough from the hustle and bustle but walking distance to everything. Place was amazing with top of the line appliances, theater room with popcorn maker, comfortable memory foam beds and automated toilets were a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to beautiful Old town Alexandria.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The home was very lovely, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with plenty amenities. Nothing was lacking. From the kitchen supplies to snacks, coffee, and toiletries, everything was well-organized and available, which made our stay so easy and comfortable. The house was spotless upon arrival, and the location was perfect within walking distance to the beautiful waterfront and charming old town. On top of that, the host was very responsive and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommended!

We were in town for my sisters wedding at mt Vernon. The house and location was great. Just a couple blocks away from all the stores and restaurants in old town. There is a trolly on king street that is free to use that is just two blocks away from the house. The trolly can take you all the way to the metro if you’re looking to explore the rest of the tri state area. The house was clean and was perfect for my family during our stay and includes a private patio area that we enjoyed spending time in. Would definitely recommend to friends and family in the future.

Five stars. Great and communicative host, quality amenities, beautiful landscaping, and the in house gym was perfect for a late night workout. Ample parking and conveniently close to the city center.

FABULOUS HOME, INCREDIBLE LOCATION! Cameron House is a stunning historic property. Gorgeous antiques and period details, but, also has modern chic feel that I loved. You can see the waterfront from the front door and King Street is next street over, so you are in the absolute heart of Old Town. We appreciated the well stocked wine cellar and wine fridge and enjoyed a delish rose in the peaceful walled garden (loved the fountain and twinkly lights). Was too warm to enjoy the firepit, but we did light it for a night time little ambiance! Hamilton is a gracious host and went beyond for my stay. Returning to this Old Town gem!

Used this place as base camp for a week of DC sightseeing. Excellent location for walking to the Metro and to Old Town Alexandria (never more than 25 min Metro ride to all venue surrounding The Mall). Great location for car trips (used Turo for 2 day rental) to Colonial Williamsburg, historic Jamestown, Mount Vernon, Arlington Cemetery. Host is excellent—very prompt response to questions (despite she being abroad during our stay), clear instructions, very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

A+++ Host Great location Fun house I misunderstood and thought there were four bedrooms instead of three bedrooms with a ballroom that could be turned into a bedroom but didn’t have a door. Nevertheless, we were wonderfully comfortable and we had a fantastic host.

Great row house w easy access to Metro and waterfront. Awesome little town and perfect for our family weekend. Spacious townhome altho only one shower for 3 bedrooms. Felt safe!!

Overall an excellent, relaxing place to stay for a week. Very accessible to a lot of things to do and places to ear. Accommodations were wonderful and Noey was very quick to respond and helpful. House had about anything you could want and was very comfortable.

Quintece was very responsive and helpful. The house looks like the pictures and is very nicely decorated. I slept in the upstairs Queen bed, and it was comfiest bed I’ve had at an airbnb or hotel. The bathrooms were great with very hot water. The electric fireplace was perfect for the chilly spring nights and also for ambiance. We really loved the place and enjoyed our stay. It was also very convenient to drive to downtown DC either route, but our favorite for coming back in the evening was along the parkway George Washington Memorial Parkway. Usually no traffic, very green and peaceful.

Great get a way for our group, home was in a wonderful location, close to everything, hostess was great to communicate with!! She even checked in to see how we were doing. We were a book club of 6 ladies and were very comfortable. I would recommend this listing for other travelers. The complementary champagne was a special touch!! The pillows were heaven!! Thank you!!
