Rachael has a top AirBnB rating because her place is superbly located and thoughtfully set-up. The cottage is very light, spacious, super comfortable and clean, and has all that you could want for a relaxing stay. Standout details are the list of walks and places to eat and drink, the views from the house, the really well equipped kitchen – and not forgetting Rachael’s greeting with a tin of home baked brownies, 2 ponies and 2 dogs! And the stag with antlers running in the next field… We will be booking our next stay at Rachael and Gerry’s cottage soon and hope to book the neighbouring Stables Cottage and superb looking cabin too for a visit with family.

Lovely location in a tree lined street. Modern stylish and quality furnishing and appliances and well equipped overall. Hepworth Gallery, The Arthouse and Yorkshire Sculpture Park all worth a visit. We felt very comfortable in this spacious light and modern apartment. Roof lights allow amazing views and spectacular sunsets. Also you feel like you are in amongst the trees being at the top of the building. The large entrance hall in the flat is a great place for Qi Gong and Yoga. There is a comfortable work area again with great views.

We spent Christmas at Rodica's place and she made sure that it felt just like home. She managed to decorate for us and the place was spotless. Communication was great and whenever we had an issue or query she was very responsive and went out of her way to accommodate us. We look forward to another stay soon.

Our short stay at Fox Cottage was amazing. The property is beautiful, spotless and comfortable. The views are spectacular! Andrew was a great host, very responsive and helpful and we really appreciated the very kind welcome hamper! Loads to do and see and there were even toys for our young son to play with! We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year!

Location is absolutely fantastic for Bakewell access. Communication was excellent. Perfect weekend.

A beautiful cottage, with a charming layout, making the most of the fantastic views. We could have sat watching the views for hours and were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the terrace! It was well appointed and felt very homely. We loved how convenient it was for walking into Matlock Bath (only 5 minutes) with its fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, amusements and lovely riverside walk and 2 play parks. What a great location for us as a family and it was very handy to be able to leave the car at the house and walk to the cable cars for the Heights of Abraham. We appreciated the milk and tin of chocolate biscuits. One tip for anyone who visits is to park at the top of the house, and not take the car around to the front of the house to save having to reverse up the steep hill as the road at the bottom has now been cordoned off. Thank you for sharing your property. We really enjoyed our stay!

We felt so welcomed at this home. The hosts were very generous in the welcome goodies they left us and in the time taken to chat to us, give recommendations and lay the fires on our first day. We had an excellent meal at the recommended Spencer Arms, about 5 minutes drive away and enjoyed visiting the Sculpture Park and had a day in Bradford where there are some fantastic free museums. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the area.

Gramp's cottage was right in the heart of the Peak District with walks and stunning scenery right from the gate. We loved staying on a farm and especially enjoyed feeding the orphaned lambs. The cottage was really well kitted out with everything we needed to be self catering, so we didn't need to bring anything with us, other than the food we wanted to cook. We were warm and cosy in the cottage. Debbie was welcoming, offering some good suggestions of things to do. The local maps and walking books and leaflets meant we really felt we could make the most of our time away. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay- we hope to be back again!

We had a fantastic time at Clover Cottage. The space was perfect for a short break, with the added luxury of a hot-tub. The host was responsive to our questions and provided a comprehensive ‘check-in’ walkthrough on arrival. Great location too for the peaks.
