Grandma's house from the 50s with sea view

Welcome to Farmorhuset in Nykvåg, in the middle of beautiful Vesterålen. The house was built in 1954 and combines nostalgic 50s style with today's amenities for a comfortable stay. I have inherited this house from my father, who in turn inherited it from his mother, and it has therefore been important for me to preserve the soul and history of the house. The granny house has three bedrooms with a total of four beds, which makes the house perfect for both small families and groups of friends.

The midnight sun lasts from mid-May to mid-July, a few weeks before and after this period the nights are as bright as the days.

Barkestad has a good harbor with a living fishing village, and the fishing has been an important business road in the area for a long time. Fishing from both land and boat is possible. You can get to the island via fast boat from Myre or Skjellfjorden - or your own/rented boat if you have this available.

Really good opportunities for nature walking, fishing and so on, or if you just want to enjoy your cup of coffee while sitting by the sea a few meters from the house. 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and livingroom in the first floor. TV-room, toilet and room with washmachine/ dryer in the basement. Wifi installed. We have a kayak, bicycle and a small boat with oars that can be used by the house's guests.
