Lise and Marius are excellent hosts! They are very kind and helpful, and even if we never needed their help since everything at the house was great, we always felt like they were easy to reach and happy to help with anything. The house is very nice with a beautiful view over the fjord, and the hot tub and grill house made the stay feel extra luxurious. We had an amazing stay and we already miss our beautiful house in the north :)

Jarle and Kirsten have been wonderful hosts, Sharing their private Holiday Home. It s located ca 20 min outside of Sortland with significant distance to the next Hut, ensuring maximal quietness&privacy, in Summer a Lake ia Close by. We found all we could possibly need in the hut. Watching the Northern lights from the Whirlpool (little extra) was a dream. We were feeding the wild birds and sad to leave such a nice place. Internet is quick and reliable. Communication with the hosts was super friendly and quick. Thumbs Up - clear recommendation if you search for a place to recharge your batteries.

Tore and Francine were amazing hosts! Tore speaks 6 languages so even my daughter the only speaks French could understand what was said. The surroundings are just completely incredible! Soo beautiful! The cabin we rented was very tiny for sure but it was the perfect size for a father and his daughter. My daughter wanted to stay longer. She liked it that much! So did I! Hopefully one day we'll get the chance to go back there!

What a wonderful family cottage !! The house, the view, the calm and the charm of a little port at the end of the world, everything is perfect. The house is very well equipped, it has everything you need. we couldn't go see the whales because of the bad weather but we had a great time in this place. a big thanks to Sissel for her kindness and generosity

I was alone here and loved it. The boat trip there alone ( I came from Myre ) is magnificent in fine weather. All those islands and mountain peaks all around you, beautiful! And also the cottage is beautifully located and very very quiet. I was by bike and came up to the island at the Barkestad stop. I was able to cycle until about halfway through the cottage ( quite uphill ), and then it is still about fifteen minutes on a bumpy path. In retrospect, I could have taken the Austringen stop, which is closer to the cottage and a much better and flatter path. You will need to let us know in advance that you want to be dropped off / picked up there. The cottage is nicely decorated and the view is fantastic. There was all kinds of food in the house, but I had brought everything myself, so I didn't use that (I don't know if that was allowed either). All in all, highly recommended!!! Thanks Arnt for letting me stay here!

We had a wonderful stay at Alf's cabin. The accommodation is extremely cosy, in the most beautiful surroundings and great value for money. Alf is an extremely friendly and responsive host. Thank you Alf!

As others have said, the pictures do not match the place, it is much more beautiful in nature. Clean and a great place to enjoy life. A professional host.

Host: Friendly, patient, helpful. Accommodation: a beautiful house, with a private road and property. A great view, whether living room or bedroom/bathroom. Would love to come back. Dogs were also no problem. In front of the house you can also fish🎣. Since it snowed the whole time (early/mid-April), the private road to the driveway was even cleared for us by "the neighbors?"

This was the second time we staid in Nina’s place in Hovden. The location is exceptional and Nina is extremely friendly and can provide great local advice.

Absolutely beautiful house, and so nice in all the rooms! It was tidy and clean, easy check in and super service from hosting! Newly renovated, lots of kitchen equipment so here you felt at home! Lots of great toys and books for the little ones as well. 10/10 stay! ☺️

We had a super good time in the cozy house. Lovingly furnished, great amenities and great views. Communication with the hostess was also great, happy to come again!

The unique location and tranquility impressed us. Kari was very proactive and provided us with information and tips for excursions. A few snacks were also available for us. The kitchen is very well equipped. We were also allowed to use the small rowing boat. The sauna with panoramic views is great. The camping shower was okay. It is portable and you can also shower outside with it. A higher water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom would be desirable. There, the water comes directly from the stream. Kari & Inge provided drinking water in canisters. For a lonely cottage on the fjord, it is well equipped.
