Great location and a great house with all the amenities required for a comfortable easter weekend stay for our family of four. Would highly recommend the cottage for anyone wanting to explore the upper northland.

Highly recommend The Cowshed Cottage! Trish and Al are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and the place is cozy, cute, clean, and spacious. We were greeted with homemade sourdough bread, homemade brownies, and several homemade jams. Trish has thought of everything with the included amenities, including a spacious bathroom and two separate lounging areas. The fireplace warms up the place quickly and is well-stocked with wood, and the Cottage is a 10 - 30-minute drive to most things. We were there during a few rainy days; however, it was nice since we had a large Cottage to relax during the rain. Would have enjoyed staying longer if possible, would absolutely stay again, and would highly recommend to everyone.

Both Mark and Wendy were incredible hosts, couldn't have wished for more. It felt like staying with distant family rather than strangers. Extremely caring and attentive. Home cooked muffins to welcome, along with milk and coffee which was great. The place itself is also fantastic: great views, great animals (including a very friendly dog ❤️), easy to access, very comfy bed, fast internet, good air conditioning, personal BBQ, amazing garden with various self grown produce... the list goes on. Amazing value for money. 5 star rating doesn't feel enough for these great hosts, I really enjoyed myself and will miss them.
