The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

Private country atmosphere in city located on 7 acres. Lots of large pine and oak trees, birds, and catch and release from onsite pond. Plenty of room for horse or boat trailers to park. 5 to 10 minutes from restaurants and stores if your not in mood to cook. Daily pet fee $10.00 per day per pet due check in 2pets. 30 lb. limit unless you talk with us first. NO CATS. You will need to provide animal crate if pet is left alone in cabin. After 10PM inquires will be answered the next morning

Unbelievably quiet and serene. We couldn’t believe how wonderful everything was. The kitchen had all the cooking supplies one might need, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the views were outstanding. We have stayed at a lot of AirBnBs, and this is one of the best. We loved the taking the canoe on long trips through the lake. The outside temps never felt nearly as warm as the temperature indicated. The trees on the property and the nice breeze help to keep the deck area comfortable. We couldn’t be happier with this location. We will have to come back again.

My stay at this Airbnb was amazing! The space was beautifully decorated—stylish and cozy, with a stunning kitchen that made me actually enjoy cooking on vacation! The restrooms were spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and welcoming. The only small downside was the parking situation, which required a separate app, but that wasn’t Foxtrot’s fault. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful place to stay!

This cabin is wonderfully decorated with a gorgeous view and a spacious kitchen. We intend to come back more regularly. It was the relaxation we were looking for! We were able to put the boat in super close to the cabin and use the dock during our stay. Bring extra trailer chalks as the driveway is on quite an incline. Thank you for allowing us to stay with y’all.
