The first thing I have to say is Sophie and Pieter are clearly lovely people. We were late because of traffic but Sophie waited for us and gave a warm and very helpful welcome. Secondly, the apartment is a real home from home. The kitchen has all the equipment you need if you want to dine at home. Throughout the apartment everything was clean and functional as well as being well designed and attractive. Thirdly, the location is excellent. The tram runs regularly on the Overtoom and gets you right into the centre in 20 easy minutes. On the other side is the Vondelpark, which is a slice of real Amsterdam that many people would miss, which is a shame as it’s fantastic. The bar run by the brewery was a real find for us. Around you are a number of excellent places to eat and drink on both sides of the park and into the centre. Finally I am going to return to Sophie and Pieter - honestly you could not get better hosts. Thank you very much - we intend to return.

The three of us had 4 wonderful days in the very beautifully designed apartment. All was available and perfect. The 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds is somewhat simply designed, but completely adequate for children or a 3rd person. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Requests were immediately answered. Check-in and check-out were well organized. The apartment is located in a small suburb of The Hague, with nice restaurants and some small shops, right next to the pedestrian zone. Bicycles can be parked nearby.

Alexander was very responsive before and throughout our stay in the studio apartment. Great location. He was very accommodating with his check-in and check-out. He and his wife gave a special little gift of cookies for my daughter who was celebrating a birthday trip. I highly recommend this place and Alexander as a host.

A very spectacular space; artistic, authentic, designed, spacious. Thus going up is quite unusual but you can’t blame no one other than “time” when stairs were installed to move between levels. A good hint to be informed. At night; make sure you celebrate the modern parking scene; it’s another piece of art that you can gaze in, on, & within. Hospitality is aligned. Thanks Pim

This was just the perfect house for us! Big enough for our family of 4, extremely clean and full of comfortable details. Big garden that just feels like part of the woods. We had a lovely stay at Tijmen's spacious home which is ideally located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, yet still just a short walk to the museum campus, Vondelpark and several other sites. Tijmen was a wonderful host who provided very clear instructions and guidance on restaurants and sites in the area. The flat was clean and the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed relaxing with wine and snacks in the sun on the rooftop deck. Like most flats in Amsterdam, you need to climb stairs to get to the flat (and the deck), but it is well worth it!
