In a beautiful nature reserve and within walking distance of swimming lakes Gasselterveld/'t Nije Hemelriek, our recently modernized vacation home is located in a quiet bungalow park and offers a lot of privacy with sunny and shady spots. To relax, there is a 3-person massage Jacuzzi under the veranda. The deposit for our house is €250. The area is ideal for peace seekers, hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers. In our beautiful fenced private garden, you will enjoy the many bird species.

Schoonoord Forest Cottage!

Directly on the forest and many hiking trails in the area. Also a swimming pool around the corner. We have beautifully furnished our cottage with care and equipped it with every comfort. A kitchen with all appliances; dishwasher, combi oven and coffee machine. Outside, lovely furniture to fully enjoy nature, the garden is completely fenced with greenery, and you can hear the birds chirping all day long. There is good WiFi available, so also a great base for a workation (work vacation).

In 2024, this estate was transferred from a centuries-old family tradition to the Drenths landscape. Partly to preserve the estate, it was decided to partially convert it into an attractive B&B. The vacation home can accommodate 4 people, was completed in September 2020, and is fully equipped with all the comforts. It is situated on the outskirts of the village, making it a unique location as a base for many wonderful excursions in beautiful Drenthe. A few steps outside the door and you are in the Valtherbos. Also for the runners, hikers and cyclists and ATBers among us there are beautiful routes in the immediate vicinity. On the property is also the owner's house.

The apartment is located between monumental thatched farms in old Valthe, a small village on the Hondsrug, Around Valthe, there are forests, fields, heaths, country roads, fens, burial mounds and megalithic tombs. Many cycling and hiking routes run through Valthe that give access to a widespread network through Drenthe and surrounding provinces. 1 child up to 4 years old can stay in the parents' room. On request, a crib/child's bed can be placed.
