Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Obwalden

Wir hatten tolle Tage in dem wunderbaren, charaktervollen alten Haus. Die Zimmer und die Stube sind geräumig, hatten mehr als genügend Platz zu 8, und draussen konnten wir die Sonne geniessen. Super Lage direkt am See und Wanderwege gleich hinter dem Haus. Gut konnte Heidy uns vom Bahnhof abholen, sonst wäre es mit Gepäck ein rechtes Stück zu Fuss gewesen. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben bei ihr - und sie weiss allerlei über die Lokalgeschichte zu erzählen!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, definitely would recommend and visit again. The house was really well equipped, located in a beautiful area surrounded by mountains.

We loved our stay here. Perfect for our family. The location for us was ideal. Picturesque, all that we imagined Switzerland to be. The views every morning every evening are amazing. I am sure it is amazing during winter time as well. For us it was perfect and truth be told well beyond our expectation. Waterfalls mountain views, evening cow bells..what more could we want...and connectivity with trains and buses right out the front door 😍😍 we plan to come back with our second daughter. We experienced sunshine, and rainy weather, both had their own vibe in this chalet. Please know that it is away from busy hustle bustle, but if you crave that Brienze is like 7 miles drive (or you could take the bus) and any location is a train journey away! Spectacular and absolutely amazing hosts, In Spite of having researched our visit I believe I had a lot of questions 😜😜 our host was very quick with responses that were full of insights. Loved our stay.

House is amazing, very big and comfortable. Equipped just like in my own home, it had everything we needed. The location is great (I had a car), right at the center of Switzerland and in the vicinity of pretty much every trendy place in Switzerland (1 hour drive at max) House sits right on the lake so when it’s warm outside you can go swimming or just walk along the lake All over, I can definitely tell this is the best Airbnb I’ve ever had.

Sehr gepflegtes und schönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten wunderbar entspannen. Die Kommunikation zu Daniel und Erica war unkompliziert und sehr freundlich.

We loved our stay at Larissa and Beat’s place. The view is simply spectacular and we always enjoyed coming home to it after a day of traveling around. While the road up to the place is not for the faint of heart, we still found the location to be convient to Lucerne and other surrounding towns or to the mountains (Pilatus, etc.) for those wanting to hike. Quite simply, the place is incredibly relaxing and has everything you would need. Lastly, Larissa is an extremely helpful host and very responsive to any questions. Overall, we loved our vacation in Switzerland and would be happy to return to this apartment!

Excellent location right across the street from Brunni. Would be perfect for families with kids learning to ski. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils, and very clean. The only things that we found less than prefect were 1) sound insulation in the building was not very good. The first night, we encountered unit upstairs partying till after 2am and we could hear the yelling and music well. Lucky for us, it didn't happen again, and the host told us that they would complain to the other unit's owner if it recurs. 2) rooms run hotter than the thermostat set points. The thermostat was set to 20 when we arrived, room were at 23. We subsequently lower them to 18C, but bedrooms were still 22-23. 3) My wife and I find the mattresses soft for our personal taste. We would be happy to stay here again. I only wish I had returned the kitchen to its pristine state in our rush to the airport after my wife suffered a leg fracture skiing.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Nora war ausgeteichnet. Die Wohnung hält was sie auf den Bildern verspricht. Nora ist äusserst freundlich und hat uns vorab mit allen nötigen Informationen zur Wohnung und deren Benutzung ausgestattet. Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe dekoriert, sodass man sich sofort wohl gefühlt hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A very beautiful place to stay, equipped and stunning views as well. Corina, and her family were really good hosts, always there in case we needed something ! They offered to pick us up from the train station; they even offered several times to give us a lift if needed. The apartment was exactly as the pictures, pretty clean, towels available, shampoo, soap as well. The kitchen was well equipped too. 100% recommend

sehr schöne grosszügige Wohnung Aus dem Fenster Sicht auf See unf Berge Gute Erreichbarkeit mit dem Zug (fährt alle Stunde) Man kann viel unternehmen wandern, Minigolf spielen, viel mit dem Zug unterwegs sein Tiere können von Kindern gut beobachtet werden in der Gegend. Wetter sehr wechselhaft wie überall in den Bergen. Es lohnt sich auf alle Wetterverhältnisse vorbereitet zu sein

We had a wonderful stay at the Erdstern apartment, The location can’t get better than this ..Just under the mount titlis and 2 min by foot to the cable cars uphill. Despite being super touristy and flocked by people year round, the location is pristine and very calming with the view surrounded by mountains and a constant flow of water . However the location is only the second best thing, the hosts are absolutely amazing and one of the loveliest people I have ever met.Beat & Esther are top notch hosts and have been super responsive & helpful going out of the norm to ensure my family is comfortable , would love to stay here the next time I am at engelberg Regards Deepak

Wir waren schon zum zweiten mal Gast in dieser wunderschönen Alpenhütte und das sagt wahrscheinlich schon alles! :) Unser erster Aufenthalt in der Vorweihnachtszeit 2023 hätte mit frischem Neuschnee kaum schöner sein können. Auch diesmal Anfang März hatten wir traumhaftes Wetter - noch etwas Schnee, jeden Tag Sonnenschein und blauen Himmel - da können wir uns kaum einen erholsameren Ort als Cortinella vorstellen. Das Alpenpanorama in der Ruhe der Natur und natürlich der Hot Tub sind die Highlights in diesem Urlaubsparadies, wo es uns an nichts gefehlt hat - außer vielleicht genügend Urlaubstagen ;-) Hoffentlich kommen wir bald wieder!

Celine was a great host, among other things she stayed up late when we had train delays to ensure we got checked in okay and she could show us around. Area is beautiful and easy bus links to anywhere you need to go, the guest passes you can get are useful to use. The shared spaces were always pretty clean and tidy. Great place to stay if you want somewhere more private and out of the town centre.

Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Marcel hat uns schon vor der Reise mit Informationen gut versorgt und war bei Fragen auch während des Aufenthalts immer erreichbar. Er ist wirklich ein guter, freundlicher und unkomplizierter Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist wie auch beschrieben sehr schön und ruhig und bietet einen tollen Ausblick auf die Berge. Oberiberg ist ein freundlicher, eher familiärer Ort mit einigen typisch schweizerischen Gasthäusern. Im Winter bietet die Gegend auch für Nicht-Skifahrer wie uns ausreichend Freizeitmöglickeiten. Wir haben einen sehr schönen Urlaub erlebt und haben nichts vermisst.

The house was exactly what we were looking for, a fully equipped house, in the middle of the mountains. The communication with Roman was easy and fast. We walked to Engelberg pretty much everyday, it is an easy and beautiful path next to the river. We spend one week in Switzerland every year, every-time in a different location, but after these days, we wouldn’t mind coming back next year.
