Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nova Scotia

Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

I had a group of four families (with young children) stay at both the eagle and the sun house. The houses were very clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for our group and even had multiple unused bedrooms. The view is spectacular from both houses - especially the sun house. The pictures don’t do it justice. There’s no air conditioning in the houses, but we were kept cool by opening the windows and using the many fans that were provided in the rooms. It was fine during our stay, but I could imagine the upstairs rooms may get stuffy if you happen to visit during a particularly warm period. There’s a walk down the hill to the beach on the lake, and the beach is rocky so don’t expect to bring young kids swimming. Even if you’re feeling adventurous you’ll need water shoes to get around. Overall a great experience and a good way for a large group to visit Cape Breton

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mary's place. It had everything we needed, including a nice big kitchen with a lovely view; it felt like I was cooking in a treehouse :-) Mary was very easy to communicate with. We would be happy to stay here again.

I had booked Williams place because my daughter requested a place with a hot tub for her birthday. We enjoyed the porch it was big enough to play bean bag toss and played the pool mini golf. Loved that there was tvs in the bedroom. Would recommend and will come back. 😊

we had a great stay, had everything we needed and more! when we woke up in the morning we were amazed at the view in front of us. Fire was easy to light and felt very cozy. Thanks Jason!

Lovely location; spacious; great hot tub.

Great spot to stay with everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Beautiful views of the bay and very close to the ski hill, which was great as we were there for the snowmobile races! The open indoor wood fireplace was really nice, not something you see at very many airbnbs! Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home tastefully decorated! More amenities than advertised! Host is lovely!

great weekend

A getaway for Valentines in Lunenburg for two nights. Weather was not the best, however, having a cozy fire made it fine for staying in after we checked in the first day. A lot of shops are not open this time of year anyway. We enjoyed going out for dinner the second night.

This was our second stay and it was perfect. Such a cozy space, very clean, and lots of extra touches to make you feel right at home. It’s a great central location to do visiting or sightseeing from.

Jonathan’s place is absolutely beautiful. The location is very central and close to many restaurants. Check in was easy and the place was very clean.

Shelley and Julian are fantastic hosts. They really helped make our stay enjoyable. They are very responsive and friendly. The place was in a great spot and we were able to walk to all our destinations.

We really enjoyed our stay, wish we had more time to explore the area.

We cannot recommend Peter’s place enough! Beautiful quiet location, exceptional hosting, comfortable and cozy space - and the home theatre is even better in person than in the photos! Peter was a wonderful host, very quick to respond to any question or issue and provide maximum flexibility with both checkin and checkout. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay! Even packing up the car in the hailstorm the next morning. lol Even though it’s a very cozy little spot, hopefully next time we can stay in warmer weather. Thank you for everything! Would recommend!

Melissa Marie’s place was perfect for what we needed. We received quick response to questions. Clear instructions to fine it and to enter. Everything worked well for us.

On the Rocks is a peaceful, magical place. It is modern but cozy and extremely clean and well equipped. Jerky and Stew are responsive and friendly hosts. This was our second time here with plans to return in the future!

We stayed at Dean’s place for a family vacation. It was the perfect venue for our holiday and had absolutely everything we needed to make our stay memorable and amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a private spot on the island with beautiful surroundings and great amenities. The entire place was absolutely spotless and well maintained. Dean was an exceptional host and greeted us on the first day to show us around and answer any questions we had about the property. Thank you Dean for the wonderful hospitality and enjoyable experience!

We had an amazing weekend at Harbour Mist. Such a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. It's even more impressive in person as the woodwork throughout is stunning. I absolutely love the amount of reclaimed wood throughout the home. I wanted to know the story of its construction! There were 10 of us and you wouldn't even know it as there was so much space where everyone could unwind and enjoy our surroundings. Many thanks to Jesse for hosting us and for creating such a comfortable space.

Fantastic place in big pond. Out of the way with plenty of room to relax. Highly recommend for a quiet summer stay.
