Yurt vacation rentals in Nova Scotia

We had a great outdoor forest experience, it would have been really cool if one of the water view yurts had a hot tub to rent with it. Overall great experience and would recommend!

Had a lovely stay even in the rain! Hot tub was amazing. The yurt was so cute and unique with a super comfy bed. We also had dinner there, which was delicious. Would go back again!

Cabot Shores is a fun and unique experience, somewhere in between camping and staying at a hotel/resort. We stayed in the Big Sky Blue yurt and it was spacious enough for two people and a dog. The yurt has an amazing private deck with a view, a fire pit, and a wood burning furnace. The staff and other guests are really friendly, the food is great, and guests can easily access a private beach. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Definitely bring bug spray, though.

Absolutely beautiful place. The breakfast was yummy, the barrel sauna was magical and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

An interesting and colourful yurt. We had good time our stay was short but we had fun, especially using the little ferry to the beach. Dinner and live music was excellent, totally recommend this place to take a break while doing Cabot trail.

The yurts are warm and cozy, and the lodge was great with very accommodating staff! Definitely recommended for friends or family! We loved our night here!

Great stay, loved the yurt! If you are a warm body, during the summer months, a small fan will help you greatly. Note that the washrooms are located in the main lodge. This is a good compromise between camping and a hotel. Enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the little sky yurt! We only had time to stay for one night, but would have loved to stay a little longer. The yurt was cozy and surprisingly warm at night (thanks to the little electric heater). We enjoyed watching the beautiful night sky (so many stars) and the view over the water in the morning. We also enjoyed a true Canadian dinner, which was amazing! The staff is absolutely wonderful. They were really kind and interested and gave us some great tips for the Cabot trail. Can’t thank them enough! We would definately recommend and would come again if we’re ever in the area :)!

What a beautiful paradise this place is.. We were greeted by Nancy as we got there and she answered every question we had. There was a delicious cheese cake from the local bakery in Sackville waiting for us. The place was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed for an unforgettable stay. Even down to Epsom salts for a relaxing bath in the soaker tub. The kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal with access to the barbecue. You can tell they take pride in their place and put their heart into this. The sauna was amazing. We enjoyed the sunrise and nice long walks on the beach and we were able to walk far out at low tide which was cool. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful oasis to rest and reset. And the fact that it was dog friendly for well behaved dogs was the cherry on the cake.

The manager was so helpful. She sent a ton of instructions on how the property works as it is unique (in a great way). She was proactive and reached out to us directly. we also got there after dark and answered our messages to make sure we got to our Yurt. We were skeptical about the description of the bathroom and shower, but both are clean and very well done. Peaceful, clean, and delightful.

We only stayed one night but we loved it. It was so peaceful and quiet. It was a cold night but the wood stove had the Yurt nice and warm when we showed up. I’d stay again but lesson learned, we should have nurtured the fire overnight - it was a little chilly the next morning at -16c - so the heating pad on the bed was welcome!

Arrived late and only got to spend enough time in the yurt to sleep but hope to be back and enjoy it during daylight hours! It’s in a very rural area right on the seaside. The only downside is that there were two small lights, so next time we’ll be sure to bring head lamps!

Richard and his partner were wonderful hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience like this. They were very proactive with the space and offering helpful information on the area. Would very much recommend this retreat!

We loved our stay in the Singing Bowls yurt. The yurt and surroundings were stunning. Large windows cover a quarter of the yurt and look out over a wide river, where we got to watch the sunrise and eagles flying over head. The inside is beautifully decorated and includes everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. There is a private outhouse a minute from the yurt, and it's got to be the nicest outhouse ever made haha Andrea and Clay are both lovely people. This is our second time staying with them (we were in another yurt last time, which was also gorgeous), and we'll definitely be back some time!

Everything was as expected going in as the washroom was in the lodge part. The view from flying moose is amazing. Customer service was top notch as Paul ended up waiting for us even though we had a late check in and personally took us to our yurt in the dark. We rented a canoe and kayak and had a blast. The water is nice and calm inside the rock/sand barrier to the ocean.

My wife and I were able to find this hidden gem while exploring the maritimes, and very glad we did. While not your typical stay, the yurt is a great experience, and is quite spacious. With the wood stove, we were never cold, and being able to cook on the top is an added bonus. Would definitely stay again!

We really loved our off grid yurt and the peaceful surroundings. The beds were warm and comfortable and so quiet at night. The food was beyond excellent, Ella Dubinsky and crew were the perfect entertainment, and I loved the jam session at the end. I will be back again, and for much longer!
