Cottage vacation rentals in Nova Scotia

Cajun cottage is a gem !! Cozy, calm and great decor. Marco is extremely helpful and available. We loved every moment of our stay. Wonderful things to do in the surrounding area, great culture and welcoming people. The cottage is a GREAT place to stay - We hope to be back one day and wish all the best to Marco.

Even though the weather was cold and rainy we still had a wonderful visit! The lovely wood fire kept us nice and toasty! We had the most amazing view of the ocean from the living and dining rooms. There's a huge deck with lots of deck furniture that was available to us had the weather been nicer. Melanie has thought of absolutely everything one would need for a perfect getaway. It is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. I cannot wait to go back! Also, I now am in love with the South Shore of NS!

This house is in a remarkable location and very comfortable. The stairwell to the second floor is a bit small but certainly adequate. Wendy is a responsive and helpful host. Family of 4 had a good visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cottage on Zwickers Lake. It was well situated near the lake with access to the kayaks and a canoe, which we enjoyed, especially when we spotted turtles and a baby duck near the shore line! We were in town for a Track & Field meet, and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs for preparing and cooking our own food. Overall we had a great experience at the AirBnB.

Beautiful, peaceful location on the ocean. Hosts were quick to respond with any questions we had and also checked in to see if there was anything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to explore Cape Breton.

Great house and great location. Easy check-in. Note that there's no direct beach access from the property, but it's only about half a mile down the street.

The Main View was a great stay for us and our friends. The house is exceptionally clean and well stocked with all the comforts of home! It is conveniently located in the town, while still having a fantastic view over the water, both from indoors, and out on the patio/firepit. We were fortunate to have sunny days to sit out and relax. We'd certainly consider going back sometime.

The cottage was exactly what we were hoping for. Tranquility Cove is precisely that, a tranquil spot perched on the edge of the ocean. As a host Bonnie was wonderfully responsive and very gracious. The cottage itself was well appointed with comfortable beds (an essential). Despite the fact that we were there for the coldest and iciest days of February, we were still able to on a series of hikes, so to that end the cottage is perfectly located for people who like to explore the more southernly part of Nova Scotia's gorgeous South Shore. We felt at home and at peace immediately, that sense of comfort permeated our entire stay. I strongly recommend Tranquility Cove as an ideal location for a quiet getaway.

This private accommodation was just as described and exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was well equipped (ample supply of dishes, glasses pots/pans & some food provisions to start the stay), clean and comfortable to work in. The view was exceptional (we were very lucky with the weather!) and the clear, dark night sky was spectacular. The bed was comfortable and roomy, with high quality linens. The jet tub was very relaxing. The warmth from the wood stove made the whole place cosy... great for reading a good book with a glass of 🍷. Thanks for sharing Myrtle!

Had a wonderful weekend getaway with friends. Weather sadly didn’t cooperate but the weekend was SO enjoyable in Ainsley’s home— especially in the hot tub and playing cozy board games inside. Will definitely be back!

lovely remote place to unwind

Wife and I were down for y-con as vendors. The cottage is a lovely, quiet home we both enjoyed after a long day. Andrew was quick to respond when we had questions. I highly recommend the cottage for those looking for a nice quiet getaway. We look forward to being back next year for the event again.

Very cozy cottage with great views. So nice to come back to after a day of exploring Nova Scotia. Centrally located - we made day trips to Halifax, Lunenberg, Fundy Bay, etc. Because of the weather we didn't get to enjoy the decks much, but we did see one gorgeous sunset, and even when the weather was nasty it was nice to sit inside and watch the waves and the fog from our cozy warm chairs by the fireplace. The cottage is right behind the main house and you share the back yard and sun deck, but that really wasn't an issue since the weather was cold and windy. We barely saw the guests in the main house.

Shawna's place was fantastic. It was clean and welcoming, quiet and secluded, with great amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub and the firepit with a view. Thank you Shawna for a great stay!

If I can rate this 100 ⭐️ I would!!! An incredible place! So private! SOOOO clean!!! Mark was really amazing to deal with! We had an open line of communication for any issues that may come up! With that being said… we had absolutely no issues at all!!!! We loved it so much; we are already planning our next adventure there!!! This gem is truly an incredible find!! We couldn’t have been happier with everything! So many amenities and things to do right on the property!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property anyone traveling to this area!!

Very nice cottage in quiet location. Great location to hike and walk nice beaches. Convenient to restaurants and grocery supplies.

Beautiful, serene, and so peaceful. We enjoyed the local hikes and relaxing in the jacuzzi. Joseph was a great and helpful host. Wish we could come back! Our kids enjoyed the board games too. Perfect beach cottage.

Great location! Devin was very communicative and quick to reply, which made the stay super smooth. The containers had amazing views, charming decor, and everything you’d need for a relaxing weekend. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful home and property, we enjoyed every moment of our time here and are planning to stay again! Peaceful, surrounded by water with stunning views, comfy beds, clean and cozy common areas, and the hot tub was a huge hit. Daniel was so responsive to my messages leading up to the trip, and we had zero issues during our stay. I highly recommend booking with Daniel and staying at this spot! We can’t wait to go back!
