Luiz and his wife were excellent hosts. Always eager to help. Place was very clean, Gates and cozy inside. Big terrace with great view. Felt like home away from home

Everything was great, we had a really nice and peaceful stay. There seems to be a quarry not far and it made some noise but not too much. And in the evening there was an event nearby with loud music that was a bit disturbing. I don’t know if it’s a regular thing.

This is a must stay location! We stayed here Monday to Friday and I wish we could have stayed longer. The place was beautiful and a home away from home. We stayed as 4 adults and a toddler and it was plenty big enough. Beds were incredibly comfy and the private pool was fantastic. Location was a great stop between Lisbon and Porto with great day trips to Nazare and Óbidos. If you’re looking for a villa in this area then stay here!

We had a great stay in extremely comfortable surroundings. Clean, spacious, well equipped. Fabulous swimming pool! Exiting the property a bit hazardous by car. The property is on a very busy main road and is a lorry route, you need two people to exit, one in the street as traffic flies by! A mirror situated so that you can see what is coming would be extremely helpful. The road is noisy but did not penetrate the house too much. Most shops, restaurants, etc are a short drive away. There is nowhere close enough on foot. Beds are comfortable but bed linen and towels are a little old and tired, they could do with replacing. Contacting the host during the week was problematical. Phone rings 3 times then changes to engaged tone. On one occasion all the electricity cut out, fortunately we were able to find the trip switches. We were aware that in an emergency we could not make immediate contact, a bit worrying. A minor point but as a party of 7, two sets of keys would have been helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa das Taliscas... the house is even better than in the photos, it is very well located and is quiet. - Cleanliness +++++ - well-equipped Excellent swimming pool and very well exposed... sun all day long. We were hosted very well. The hosts are very pleasant and very responsive if needed. We can't wait to go back.

Simon and Sue make sure you will feel welcome in their place. Everything was as expected and advertised and the little details make the place feel more like a second home than a rental spot. The surroundings invite you to explore but the amenities, specially the jacuzzi, also ask you to stay and enjoy.

Incredible location within the castle walls. The restaurant right next door was excellent, and the owners were super friendly and helpful. David was responsive to all of our questions and everything was clean and comfortable. It was great to have a private garage as well. The only negative was a neighbor's dog who barked all night. This is not David's fault and was mitigated with some ear plugs. Overall, highly recommended!

It was a very nice cottage, small, but everything was in good material, nice shower, nicely decorated with nice wood details. We slept wonderfully with the windows open and the sound of the river, otherwise it was completely quiet at night. Outside nice terraces, wonderfully seated with our feet in the river, a fantastic environment, completely unobstructed views at the back of the house and a lovely hamlet. We walked every day for half an hour to Gois, a beautiful village with river and delicious pastries at the paladeria. We thought it was very nice!

It was a wonderful weekend. Even the neighborhood was very welcoming. Thanks to Mr. Manuel for the wine and sausage tasting. Firewood ready for heating the house, large spaces such as the living room that was great for meals as well as for playing with the children or conversations with adults. Super creative decor that makes us feel at home. Flexibility in check-in and check-out added more unforgettable moments in the house. We want to go back.

Liliana is attentive and took away all my doubts, left us many fruits and also cleaners . The house is big and very well-equipped, it had everything to cook, and spend 5 quiet days. There is heating in the bedrooms and a fireplace in the kitchen and also in the basement. The house is equipped with games, dishes, machines, utensils, absolutely everything. The surrounding area is very calm, the view is beautiful. But there is nothing to do in Pera, in Castanheira de pear there is already some trade. It's really a house to go to rest, go hiking and isolate yourself .

"Casa do Tio" is very cozy, with everything you need for a stay in the middle of nature, without having to drive. We went with two children who loved the pool and exploring the countryside, and we had the opportunity to enjoy the good weather and have a barbecue in the outdoor kitchen, toasted by the sunset. In the evening, we were treated to a firefly show. Catarina was always very attentive, providing amenities for the baby. We were also entitled to "pampering" upon our arrival. We highly recommend this space for those looking for a quiet, beautiful, modern place in full harmony with nature.

Erica and her husband were very nice! They even greeted our puppy 🐶 with some snacks. The house has every kitchen apparel for self sufficiency cooking. The pool is wonderful and all and all it was a week for recharging batteries in the heart of portugal! Will return again :)

Helena's beach house was just perfect! Exactly as described with very cozy interior and charming decor. Everything was clean and well organized. We had a very good time and would recommend it for couples as well as for a group of friends.

Filipa is a great host. The beds are clean and good. Our kids loved the pool. The communication was friendly and fast. There is a lot of nature around and the lovely town of Tomar is close by.

We were a group of friends spending a weekend and we loved it! The house is amazing for spending time in a group in a very comfortable way. The photographs do not do it justice, in person the house has a different energy fueled by the incredible view of the Castelo de Bode Dam, with incredible sunrises and sunsets. The pool is great and is well served with the annex where there is a barbecue and which also serves as a seating area. we will definitely be back:)

The perfect vacation for us! Very quiet location, a lot of grounds outside. Pool very well maintained, extremely large! and Boulbahn and 3 sets of ball available. Sufficiently good sun loungers, even a double lounger. Super equipped kitchen, with everything you need, especially a lot of dishes and cutlery and lots of pots etc. Everything very clean and new. Lots of toys for children in the house and also for outside. Loving and tasteful furnishings. Thank you for a great holiday! We will be back

Family of 9 enjoyed our stay in Andreia’s lovely home! Even more charming than the pictures. The yard and pool were so inviting! Beautiful modern home in the middle of a quiet quintessential town. We hope to go back!

An excellent property if you want peace and tranquility in a countryside setting but also so close(20 minutes drive) from 2 major towns with everything you would need for shopping/groceries. It is also a 40 minute drive from some gorgeous beaches. Lisbon is about 1 hour 30 minutes drive away if you wanted to explore the city. We picked the property for the countryside setting and it didn't disappoint. The house had everything you would need. All mod cons. We cooked meals most nights . Beds were very comfy. Outdoor space was lovely especially the pool. Parking for car at the house. For convenience there is a small very well stocked supermarket 4 minutes away. We had a lady call twice during the holiday selling freshly caught fish from her vehicle. Overall we had an amazing time on our break in Flavio's property and would throughly recommend it for a stay in Portugal...

My family very much enjoyed this unique and calm location in a refurbished mill house. There is a boardwalk across the road that brings you to the village. David was responsive and helpful. Would gladly return.

The house and the exterior were beautiful, we were able to rest. For us there was only one less positive point, we did not know that the house of the parents of the owner Isabel was literally next to the house we rented, the separation is a gate, but even so there is a door that gives access to the rented house, this takes away a little privacy. However, we loved it, and both the couple and the owner Isabel were super friendly and available

Highly recommended for a peaceful and beautiful setting. Much more than I expected! The photos are very accurate in describing the house.
