Family-friendly vacation rentals in Norwegian Sea

We arrived late at night after a 4 hour drive from Narvik. The next day Cato showed me how to fill and heat the hottub and even took it upon himself to get it up to temp while we were out grocery shopping. That night we enjoyed gazing at the aurora borealis dancing above our heads in the hottub. A couple days later it got rainy and extremely windy preventing us from heating the hottub. As compensation Cato offered us use of his sauna and to take a swim in the sea, which we gladly did. He also gave us a whole cod for free from his fisherman's friend Tom which we used to make typical Norwegian dishes. Cato was extremely helpful and kind, he replied within minutes whenever we needed help or had any questions and he was full of amazing recommendations, as to where to hike and which towns and restaurants to visit. Towards the end of our stay it snowed a lot turning the surroundings into winter wonderland. We were very lucky to see all sides of Norway including the Northern lights!

Great location and nicely furnished apartment! The subtenant Paula, who welcomed me so warmly, was very nice! Uncomplicated and pleasant stay! I highly recommend it!

We had a longer stay of 7 nights with Bottolf and Siw during our Norway trip – and it was just great! The place was mainly used for relaxation, for which the Jacuzzi was absolutely perfect. The house was very well equipped, clean and cozy – you immediately felt comfortable. We would particularly like to emphasize the warm hospitality: Bottolf regularly gave us great excursion tips and always inquired whether we were doing well and whether we needed anything else. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Very easily a top-notch AirBnB experience — 10/10! Ivar and Astrid go above and beyond sharing their accommodations and cultivating a charming, cozy stay rich in family history. A peaceful oasis surrounded by nature for the adventurous. We adjusted our trip to spend more time here! Each detail — from the furniture, kitchen amenities and sauna to the radio, book collection, and wood burning stove — made us feel right at home. We hope to be back one day.

Anette's place was the perfect place for our tour holidays for us. The apartment is in a great location, has a great view of the fjord and is only a few meters from the sea. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. We had enough room for the three of us. (Attention 1 room has no door) The kitchen is well equipped and you have a beautiful view from the dining table. Anette is very helpful, gave us good tips and was also waiting for us when we arrived late. We had a great time at Anette's place.

Hans and Emily's house is a real gem! Everything has been thought of, there is everything you need and more. The rooms are beautiful and the house has a special charm. A travel cot and high chair were provided for our daughter, there are games for children and adults - so even in bad weather there is no room for boredom. Charging the electric car also worked perfectly (for a more than fair fee). The communication with Hans during the stay was very friendly and helpful. All in all, a really great place to stay with so many options that we hope to try out on our next visit (canoeing, BBQ, swimming etc). Many thanks to Emily and Hans and all the best!

This property deserves more than a perfect score! The location is one of the best in the world and the house is perfect for small and medium sized groups. The nature around the property is other-worldly and I wish we could stay longer! Only amazing things to say about this property and Vladimir, who was an excellent host with great recommendations and communication before and during our vacation. This property is a must-stay if you’re visiting Lofoten.

Visited Bente’s fantastic cabin for the 4th or 5th time - we just love the view and the location is very good for ski touring especially in the northern part of the Lyngen area.

Absolutely stunning stay, I wish we had stayed longer. The farm is like a picture book from days gone by, our unit was from 1760 (with appropriate updates) and was like living in a history book. Many old books and items from the 1700 or 1800's. We were told that one of the houses dated from the 1500's. Lots of room and lovely antique furniture. The kitchen seemed well stocked although we didn't cook. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh baked bread and multiple fruits and cheeses. As a working sheep farm, there was enough activity to occupy us if we chose while still being totally relaxing.

Cute turf house right in the heart of Miovagur. It was highly convenient and it was a very smooth process throughout. Highly recommend.

All was quite satisfactory. We have hardly heard from the host What you notice and a lot of privacy even though you lived across the street. The bathroom was cleaned every 2 days and fresh towels were also provided. The location was good because you could reach everything in about 2 hours by car

The house was perfect! The jacuzzi, the view outside at the fjord and it was so cosy inside. Everything you need was in the kitchen. Outside there was a good bbq. We loved everything! Remi answered immediately when we had a question. It was wonderful to hear the waves from the sea, we had an absolutely relaxing week!

We are super happy with our stay. We received a warm reception when we arrived and the fireplace in the fireplace was lit, which gave a homelike feel. Large spaces to socialise and a well-equipped kitchen. We would like to get back to you.

Fantastic accommodation for large groups and we got a perfect tour of the house with its history. Everything you can imagine needing is in place and had a very nice spa area. Wish we had stayed a little longer.

Be there with the 9pers family. We just say WOW. Incredibly lovely and nice place, clean paradise. Stefan was very nice and had a great conversation with us all, offered us a beer and took us a tour and welcome us. Nice accommodation and cabins and also clean it was and there were also many activities to do, but sometimes you just wanted to sit and look out to the sea. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful place! We stayed with small children and everything was well arranged for the children, including blackout curtains in the bedrooms. The only thing that was missing was the railings and the child gate upstairs in front of the stairs. Really neat and quiet place, we had a great time. We will come again if we ever vacation in the area 😊

This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay in the Faroe Islands. We sat and had coffee in the sunroom every morning and watched the waves. The hot tub was amazing, even with the drizzly weather. Leynar was a a calm and peaceful home base for our trip and it was easy to hop back on the highway and go wherever we needed. Everything in the house was as described and the kitchen was very useful! The beds were pretty comfy too!

Wonderful stay at Inger's place. The place was very nice and the surroundings surrounded by nature quite what we needed. Inger and her husband were adorable with recommendations and always attentive. Many activities in the area. It was a lovely stay.

A great villa with many accommodation options. Especially great: the two huge Lego boxes 😍 It took some getting used to that the two bathrooms have separate entrances, but are only separated from each other by a shower curtain. However, this was also described in the property description. Oyvind was also helpful in finding a ski school or recommending restaurants! All in all a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
