Vacation rentals with lake access in Northern Neck

This was one of the best family vacations we have ever had. Charlie and Aliza were wonderful host. We brought our boat and were able to leave it in the water all week with no problems. The dock is perfect with running water and electricity. We caught crab and croaker all week from the dock. We also took our boat to the sandbar and the kids played for hours. Great place for kayaking and paddle boarding as well. Beds were comfortable and living rooms were spacious. You have water view from every room in the house. We will definitely be booking again.

5-Star Stay Near the Lake in Williamsburg, VA! I stayed at this property for 5 days and had a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The home was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location near the lake was peaceful and scenic—perfect for morning coffee or evening walks. It was also conveniently close to attractions in Williamsburg while still offering a quiet escape from the crowds. The host was responsive, friendly, and made sure check-in and check-out were smooth. Creek Retreat is a perfect place to kick back and relax. Surrounded by nature, a private oasis. The space is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated. Added amenities and attention to details elevate the experience. Enjoy kayaking and sitting by the fire. Georgia is a great hostess and is proactive and responsive. If you're looking for a getaway, book it here!

This is a fantastic property for those who love the outdoors and want peace. Perfect for kids who like the outdoors. It was a lot of fun using the kayaks and boat dock for fishing on the James River. (Channel Cat, largemouth bass, white perch and bluegill were caught). Janet was proactive with her communication. We hope to return.

Had a great weekend in the Northern Neck here! We watched a pod of dolphins and stingrays from the backyard, enjoyed easy access to nearby parks, and had a great time cooking in the kitchen. This is seemingly a very recently renovated house, and all the towels, sheets, beds, etc. seemed brand new as well. It was super clean, super comfy, and the hosts were very responsive! I liked that the property was surrounded on one side by forest as well—it was nice and quiet and secluded. Finally, they have a super cute collection of board games disguised as old timey books. I'd definitely stay here again!

I can't express enough how wonderful this home is. We loved it so much that we extended our stay by an extra day! The location was absolutely perfect and met all our family's needs. The private dock quickly became a family favorite, along with the hot tub. It's a quiet, peaceful retreat and the ideal place to recharge with your loved ones. We will definitely be back!

Of my many Airbnb stays, Laura’s comes up with the very best. Her home is lovely, inside and out, with a lot of fun activities to choose from. Located on a beautiful creek opening to wide water gave us a chance to explore in her kayaks and paddle board. Rainy weather meant indoor board games, reading etc on the beautiful protected porch. The kitchen had all sorts of amenities for cooking. Plenty of bedrooms for sleeping in the peaceful atmosphere. I can’t wait to return there!

We had a wonderful stay at Presley Creek! The house was clean and comfortable. The porch and with the ceiling fans was delightful! The kitchen had everything you’d need for preparing meals. The location was so peaceful. The property was huge and felt so private & secluded with woods and the water. We enjoyed the wildlife; geese, eagles, herons, otters. We brought our dogs, and they loved running and swimming! We brought all our food with us since we knew stores were not close. Also, if you want a beach, we found a little beach not too far called Vir-Mar, which has a very small public beach. Hughlett Point which is a bit farther is larger but very limited parking. If you are looking for a laid back vibe, I highly recommend this property!

We stayed 3 nights at Stonewall Manor and it was perfect while we were visiting family in the area. We loved the serenity and openness of the property and enjoyed the horses as well. Our dog Alfred loved being able to run in the large front yard. Our host Tina was friendly and quick to respond from the booking process to checking out. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was as described. We are fully satisfied and would love to come back in the future.

My wife and I enjoyed our long weekend at your apartment very much. It was my wife's college reunion weekend, and this apartment was a great place in which to access everything. Great historic building that has been renovated in a very responsible manner.

Kelly's place was immaculate. Kelly went out of her way to help us with all of our things. We had a boat dock. Kelly had everything we needed from water to shore power. To be honest all the reviews about it being to loud isn’t tru it was quiet to me and clean I was comfortable there it’s was lots of space for my kiddo to run around in as well Ernest and his wife are very kind people would stay there agin I have nothing bad to say at all oh and the neighborhood is super quiet love that to

Calandra's place was very nice!! The view out of the master overlooking the lake was very nice. the little chill spot in the back is peaceful. neighbors were really nice. only down side there are ALOT of ducks which equal ALOT of poop so watch yr step outside! inside the house was amazing though, Calandra left us some goodies when we arrived, all the bathrooms had air freshener spray which was a major plus for me. She had cleaning products around. The fan in the master was a major key! (we love to sleep with fans if only for the noise) nice hardwood floors throughout the home. lots of space for my family of 4 i would definitely recommend this place and we will be back again! OH and I almost forgot the towels and wash cloths was excellent and smelled amazing 👏 Thanks Calandra you did your big one😊

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

As always, just an awesome getaway! The minute I pull up to the cottage and look out at the water, any stress just disappears. I’ve been coming here for a number of years and Angela and her cottage are second to none!! Angela is a wonderful host and provides great directions and recommendations and the cottage is just perfect. Thank you Angela for having this little gem!!!

Janet has a unique property considering the destination is on an island... it has it's own dock which affords guests the ultimate in flexibility. It was the main reason we elected to overnight there. My son and I only had one night for the fishing trip in our own boat over father's day weekend so it was not a deal-breaker we had to book 2 nights. The simplicity of motoring up after a day on the water with all of our gear and the convenience for being up early to catch the right tide was a perfect fit. Wish we had 2 nights to stay and have better luck with the weather... and the fish, but we will be back. Thanks Janet!

We had a wonderful time here - the property is beautiful and everything was exactly as described. The kids loved the upstairs loft and we all enjoyed our evenings around the fire making smores! Gina was so responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay.

The location is absolutely beautiful — just steps from the water with stunning views and the kind of quiet that lets you truly unwind. It’s the perfect hidden gem for anyone looking to relax and recharge. The cottage has so much charm and character. You can tell it’s been part of many meaningful family memories, and we felt lucky to add our own during our visit. We especially loved sitting by the bay and watching the sunrise each morning — pure serenity. And the best part? We saw dolphins in the bay — such a special and unexpected moment that absolutely made our day! If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway full of coastal charm, this is it. We truly enjoyed our time and would absolutely recommend booking it — you’ll be glad you did!

This was the third year in a row that we’ve stayed here - one renting from the previous owner and two from Sherri. We love it here. It’s great for two folks. The previous two times we had our early-teen granddaughter with us. Three folks is just a slight amount less spacious tha it was with two this year. Three was certainly doable though and not really inconvenient.

4th year in a row taking our family vacation to this beautiful cottage . The house is beautiful and the view is beyond incredible. Very relaxing and highly recommended for anyone with small children looking for a relaxing retreat . Looking forward to coming back for year #5.

Pretty Bird Cottage was a magical place to spend a quiet few days unplugged with family. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. It’s pretty secluded, so we planned groceries on the way there rather than venturing out for most meals. Also, cell service is spotty so be sure to keep the door code instructions somewhere you can access them offline. It was a wonderful vacation!
