Perfect location for our Rovaniemi adventure. We loved being slightly out of the town so we could just walk down to the river to see the sunset and the NORTHERN LIGHTS! I would recommend renting a car if you stay here though you probably could figure out the buses. It's just a little ways out so a bit far to walk. The sauna was great. Tidy, clean and felt like a home. Kitchen was well-equipped. Would happily stay here again!

The stay in the house in spring was wonderful. We just wanted to relax with some sauna and a view and the house is just that. We were also able to see some polar lights and have a walk on the lake as it was frozen. We bet its beautiful in the summertime too! We loved it!

Ein tolles Mökki für Naturliebhaber! Das Haus liegt in ruhiger Umgebung direkt am Wasser und verfügt über einen tollen Außenbereich (Saunahaus, Außengrillplatz mit großer Terasse, Tipi). Im Innenbereich ist es etwas in die Jahre gekommen, verfügt aber trotzdem über ausreichende Ausstattung und Charme. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, ideal für Selbstversorger. Aufgrund der Lage auf einer kleinen Insel benötigt man ein Auto, bekommt dafür aber absolute Ruhe.

Wir waren zu viert in der Wohnung und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ilkka hat uns persönlich begrüßt. Das Haus liegt nahe der Straße und ist auch im Winter gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die Sauna ist prima, die Betten bequem und das Sofa neu. Gewürze und Kaffee waren vorhanden. Ilkka hat uns Langlaufski und Schneeschuhe günstig organisiert und eine Loipe für uns gespurt, die hinter dem Haus losging. Polarlichter haben wir auch 2x gesehen. Alles war super unkompliziert. Gerne wieder. Vielen Dank.

Nora's place is truly exceptional! The villa is beautifully maintained and fully equipped with everything you need to settle in comfortably. Located just 15–20 minutes from the city, it offers the perfect balance of convenience and peaceful seclusion. The area is also one of the best spots to catch the Northern Lights, we were lucky to see them on all four nights of our stay! We were a group of 12, including 4 kids, and the space was perfect for us. The kids had a blast playing in the backyard and exploring the nearby woods. Honestly, the villa itself was the highlight of our trip. Nora is an outstanding host - warm, responsive, and welcoming. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. If you're considering a stay in Rovaniemi , Villa Pahta is an absolute gem. Highly recommended for its charm, comfort, and unforgettable location!

Miika is a wonderful host who ensure you settle in safely and comfortably. The backyard is a great area for you to have fun and relax with a view of the frozen lake. Wir waren als Familie mit zwei Kindern (12 und 14) zum ersten Mal in Finnland. Unsere Vorstellung wurden bei weitem übertroffen. Die Lage des Hauses auf der kleinen Insel ist überragend. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und hat unseren Bedürfnissen voll entsprochen. Wir kamen am Spätnachmittag an, es war dunkel, stürmisch und vereist. Marko und Lina haben uns herzlich empfangen, zum Haus begleitet, beim Transport unseres Gepäcks geholfen und alles gezeigt. Die Sauna war heiß, der Hottube ebenfalls, das Haus gemütlich hergerichtet. Die beiden waren/sind phänomenal. Nachts konnten wir dann noch Polarlichter bewundern. Zu erwähnen ist noch die problemlose und schnelle Kommunikation. Wir hatten unvergessliche Tage.

A lovely and unique experience we don’t have in Ohio! The space is decorated well. We were able to stay nice and warm, and if not there were several options to produce additional heat if needed. The bed was comfy and we loved being able to see the stars! Easy to find, and close enough to the city center to go to restaurants and shops! Cute little path leading to the forest for a short hike in the snow was wonderful!

Wir waren 5 Tage in dieser sehr schönen Blockhütte. Alles war wie beschrieben und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Die Gegend ist traumhaft und sehr ruhig, im Gegensatz zur "normalen" Hektik eine andere Welt. Tapio ist ein toller Gastgeber. Im Vorfeld schon mit guten Tipps und auch sonst immer ansprechbar. Während unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir ein kleines technisches Problem, das er sofort persönlich mit einem freundlichen Lächeln behoben hat. Danke nochmal dafür. Es war eine unvergessliche Reise in dieses schöne Land

Das Haus ist außergewöhnlich, wunderschön und direkt am See gelegen. Die Einrichtung ist natürlich, modern und mit viel Holz; wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt. Zu beachten ist die sehr abgeschiedene Lage; die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit (Supermarkt) ist ca. 15 Fahrminuten entfernt. Aber mit entsprechender Planung ist auch das kein Problem. Wir haben die ruhige idyllische Lage sehr genossen.

Wir haben vom 25.03. bis 28.03.2025 drei wundervolle Tage in dieser Unterkunft verbracht und hätten uns keinen besseren Ort für unseren Aufenthalt wünschen können. Das Ferienhaus ist modern, stilvoll eingerichtet und bietet wirklich alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Die Lage direkt am Wasser mit malerischem Seeblick ist einfach atemberaubend. Wir haben es geliebt, morgens mit diesem traumhaften Ausblick aufzuwachen und die Ruhe der Natur zu genießen. Der private Whirlpool und die Sauna waren absolute Highlights – perfekt zum Entspannen nach einem langen Tag an der frischen Luft. Der Check-in war super einfach, und die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles war makellos sauber und liebevoll vorbereitet. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!

Erittäin siistit ja toimivat tilat. Hyvä varustelutaso kaikin puolin. Kylpyhuoneessa oli saippuat, shampoot, ja muutakin peruskosmetiikkatuotteita. Majoittaja oli hyvissä ajoin etukäteen yhteydessä käytännön asioista, ja kaikki kommunikaatio toimi erittäin hienosti. Koira oli matkassa, ja lähellä on mukavia lenkkeilypaikkoja. Me and my partner really loved the stay at Martti´s place - the place was clean and cozy and very close to the Ruka Ski Center. The sauna heated up quickly, the view from the balcony and bedroom window was just amazing! Will definitely visit again and suggest this place to my friends!

Wir haben die Hütte für einen Zwischenstopp am Weg zum Nordkapp im Jänner gebucht. Im Vorhinein wurden wir informiert, dass es zwar Fußbodenheizung gibt, diese die Hütte aber nicht so richtig aufheizen kann, und es nur ein Außenklo gibt. Da dies für uns aber kein Problem sind wir dennoch angereist und das war es auf jeden Fall wert. Ausgerüstet mit Schlafsäcken war es für 3 Leute auch im Winter kuschelig und angenehm. Ebenfalls der Ausblick auf den gefrorenen See mit Sonnenaufgang war die Übernachtung wert. Auch wenn ich glaube, dass die Hütte eher für den Sommer ausgelegt ist, Ist sie auch im Winter einen Besuch wert und perfekt für eine Übernachtung

It was a beautiful stay for our Finland trip. Definitely big plus points for the nice open kitchen and fireplace, everything was there to cook in the evening and enjoy a nice movie. The sauna space is also very comfortable. Another nice feature was the carport and small shed with tools for bikes and ski stuff, all you need for a little adventure in the North. We would highly recommend this place :) The only minor critique is that you are quite close to other houses and lack some privacy.

Très beau châlet !!! Bien équipé et très douillet ! l'environnement est paisible d'autant que nous n'avions aucun voisins ! Accès direct au lac à pied ce qui nous a permis d'observer des aurores boréales. Le sauna est très agréable !!! nous recommandons le logement !

Siisti ja hyvin varusteltu mökki upeissa kainuulaismaisemissa. Vastasi kuvausta täydellisesti, mitään puutteita emme keksineet. Olemme iloisia, että päädyimme ottamaan myös paljun käyttöömme, sitä oli kiva päivän mittaan lämmitellä ja iltasella köllistellä lämpöisessä vedessä täysikuuta ihailemassa. Vielä näin syyskuussa olivat mättäät täynnään puolukkaa ja mustikkaa, niitä keräilimme puuromarjoiksi, myös sienistä kokkailimme monet muhennokset. Omatoimisille, luonnossa viihtyville mökkeilijöille lämmin suositus!
