Waterfront vacation rentals in North Africa

A well-equipped, spacious apartment with a lovely view overlooking the marina. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have stated, the apartment building does have a busy main road between it and the marina so sitting on the balcony is not a peaceful experience (unless you wear noise cancelling headphones like I did) but the balcony doors are completely soundproofed, so inside you cannot hear the traffic. At first I was little dubious on arrival, as along the road there are some buildings which are in need of some tlc but having visited Sliema (where I also looked to stay) it is no different there and in fact I liked the location as it was only a 20 minute walk into Valletta or convenient for bus tops (only 4 mins away) to explore more of the island. I appreciated Christiane’s quick responses to any queries.

I had such a great stay! The apartment was exactly as described — clean, cozy, and the view was absolutely stunning. The location is perfect, with so many restaurants and cafes nearby, and the bus stops made it super easy to get around. What really made the experience special was Peter — so friendly, helpful, and full of great local tips. I felt really well taken care of, and I’d definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Danke, Chris! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit auf Malta und dein Apartment war die perfekte Basis. Wir haben den überwältigenden Blick auf den Hafen und Valetta jeden Morgen genossen. Die Wohnung ist modern und sehr hochwertig eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts!

Der Aufenthalt war wunderschön. Der View auf den Harbor war vor allem Nachts unbeschreiblich schön. Alles hat super funktioniert, kann man nur weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren Anfang April in der Unterkunft. Die Aussicht ist einfach der hammer ! Alle wichtigen Infos kriegt man vorweg von Matthew und Julian. Die Taxifahrer erreichen auch alle problemlos die Unterkunft. Tatsächlich kann ich auf der Insel vom Preis her Bolt eher empfehlen als Uber. Am Flughafen kann man sich auch direkt die Tallinja Karte (Bus-Karte) holen. Mithilfe der App kommt man problemlos von A nach B. Die Unterkunft ist auch optimal gelegen für den Treffpunkt der Tages-Kreuzfahrten zur Blue Lagoon und Gozo (7 min zu Fuß). In der Unterkunft selbst ist alles wichtige vorhanden. Da wir nur ein Handgepäck mitnehmen durften, waren unsere Mitbringsel begrenzt. So waren wir erleichtert, dort frische Handtücher und Duschzeug aufgefunden zu haben. Eine Flasche frisches Wasser sowie Toilettenpapier wurden auch zur Verfügung gestellt. Leckere Restaurants findet man überall entlang der Promenade (Empfehlung: Nine Lives und UMI) Die ersten Touris schwimmen bereits im Meer (jedoch kalt)

Very nice place right by the sea

Sehr schöne Wohnung. Einfach zu erreichen. Wir waren in der Nebensaison und konnten auf der Straße parken. Die Schlafzimmern sind geräumig und sehr sauber. Die offene Küche neben dem Esszimmer ist groß und neu. Der Kühlschrank ist groß und sauber. Der Balkon zur Straße hat einen schönen Blick aufs Meer (kann aber mit offener Tür laut werden). Dafür gibt es einen ruhigen Hoff auf der Hinterseite des Hauses und eine leistungsfähige Klimaanlage. Der kleine Supermarkt gegenüber hat alles, was man so braucht. Sehr zu empfehlen.

A peaceful place to stay right on the beach. There is a monoprix and several cafes/restaurants (incl. a great rotisserie chicken place and fancier sit down restaurant) walking distance. It is a quick 5-10min Bolt ride to the hustle and bustle downtown. We even walked the length of the beach to the downtown twice during the stay (1 hour walk straight down the beach). Instructions were clear, and it was easy to access despite being down a side road.

Absolutely stunning view! We went outside of prime tourism season on purpose, and it was so beautiful and peaceful. We were met at the water taxi for help getting our luggage up to the house (thanks, Spiros!) and our host was very responsive and helpful with questions - and tons of great local recommendations! It is up about 50 stairs from the small harbor, so tough if anyone in your party has mobility issues. But the experience is absolutely worth it! Highly recommend.

Nous avons été ravis de séjourner 2 jours dans le logement de Monica. Logement très propre. Hôte très réactive, de bons conseils. L'endroit est idéal pour se ressourcer et se reposer. Dommage que sur la terrasse, la vue sur l'océan n'est pas au rendez-vous. Nous avons eu la surprise le dernier soir d'avoir une invasion de fourmis qui ont dévorés nos pasteis de nata. ils ont fini à la poubelle. Ne rien laisser trainer.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Maria’s place. A newly refurbished home by the beautiful beach of Playa de Palo, close to Malaga but not in the crowd. The house was super clean and curated in a lot of details. Maria was super helpful and very responsive, she gave us a lot of good recommendation. We definitely recommend a stay there!

Asa’s home is a great spot for a family vacation, it is very comfortable, located in a peaceful complex with a beautiful pool and in close proximity (walking distance) to a beautiful beach. The children enjoyed the home so much as it also had a small playground next door to the house. There were two other areas also within a walking distance with restaurants and other beaches. All in all greatly recommended. Thank you for the beautiful visit. 🤍

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans la maison seastar ! C’est un véritable petit paradis avec son accès privatif à la mer ( on s’endort au bruit des vagues), son coucher de soleil de rêve et son emplacement idéal. L’hôte absolument adorable est venu nous chercher sur la route pour nous guider, nous a bien conseillés pour visiter les lieux et a répondu à toutes nos questions. De délicieux gâteaux faits maison et figues confites succulentes nous attendaient à notre arrivée. La maison est petite mais très bien agencée; la cuisine est bien équipée, des chaussons de plage et des serviettes sont à disposition, il y a plusieurs spots autour de la maison pour manger, se reposer, faire un barbecue ou se prélasser sur un hamac. Un parking est à disposition ce qui est très pratique. On peut se rendre à pieds à une taverne toute proche. Mais une fois sur place on est au paradis entre la mer et les fleurs; on n’a plus du tout envie de partir. Un logement et un hôte exceptionnels

We chose to stay at Constantino’s stunning home as our last stop before leaving the beautiful island, and couldn’t have asked for a better base to end our time in Madeira. Constantino provided many local recs and was super responsive. The home was clean with everything we needed. Can’t say enough! Thank you!

We had an absolutely amazing time at the house. The place is beautiful and very comfortable, the communication with our host was incredibly easy and the location was perfect for our needs. We really enjoyed the calm and quietness of being a little off the beaten track. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone that wants to be close to nature. Thank you Kyriakos. Am avut o călătorie pentru job, ce s-a dovedit a fi o mare plăcere, datorită gazdei, unii dintre cei mai receptivi si simpatici, m-am simțit ca acasă, au fost extrem de prietenoși si chiar am petrecut o seara superba împreună, cazarea este poziționată in asa fel încât ai acces ușor pentru tot ceea ce ai nevoie. Iar patul, a fost unul dintre cele mai confortabile in care am dormit . Minunat! Recomand din tot sufletul ! Tot respectul pentru gazda!

الشقه نفس الصور ونظيفه جدا جدا جدا يتوافر فيها كل الكماليات وكل تفاصيل الشقه ممتازه وتسد احتياجات الساكن جميع الغرف والصاله تطل على البحر لدرجه انك لاتود الخروج من المكان المنطقه تتوافر فيها جميع الاحتياجات والسوق قريب جدا من الشقه المواصلات جدا سهلا سواء مواصلات او تاكسي فالمواصلات العامه تقف امام اسكن مباشر الاستاذ عمر في قمه الاخلاق والذوق هو بنفسه استقبلنا وكان مرحب في اي استفسار باي وقت ويحل اي مشاكل اواستفسارات بتفس اللحظه لقد قام بتوصلينا مرتين لمحطه القطار في سيدي جابر بكل ترحاب فعلا انصح بالسكن من احلى التجارب لي في السكن شكرا استاذ عمر

Excellent central location in Gibraltar with easy access to airport and public transport. Apartment was as described, good space and comfortable, with everything you would expect. Had an issue with electic power initially. However on messaging Luke he was immediate responsive and issue resolved. Excellent communication from Luke. Fantastic stay and would definitely return!

Appartement très sympa. Nous avons passé 4 bonnes nuits. Joli, bien décoré, et tout le nécessaire à disposition (serviette, torchon, gel douche, papier toilette, éponge, …) Il faisait trop frais pour profiter de la piscine, mais le cadre est parfait. L appartement se situe sur les hauteurs d Albufeira (ça fait travailler les cuisses….) Susana est très réactive, et est très sympa. Nous recommandons à 200%

very beautiful and clean house

We spent 5 weeks Feb-March in this apartment, and it met all of our expectations. Clean, with comfortable seating for 4, (something often lacking in holiday rentals) and all necessary facilities to allow us to cook for ourselves when required. An abundance of excellent local bars and restaurants with exceptionally friendly attentive staff made dining out a pleasure. The access to transport to all attractions across the island was also very welcome, with a bus stop across the road and the ferry a 5 minute walk away, and a constant stram of Bolt taxis on hand when required. The walks along the waterfront to St Julians and Valetta are very pleasant with interesting sights along the way, and recommended. We had the added bonus of being in Malta for Carnivale which was breathtaking. Minor queries were responded to promptly by Tina with friendly communication when required.

Ich bin alleine nach Kreta gereist und habe eine Unterkunft gesucht, wo ich sowohl zentral und strandnah bin als auch eine Möglichkeit habe Ruhe zu finden. Die Unterkunft bietet rund um Paket. Das Appartement zeichnet sich vor allem durch die gut ausgestattete Küche und den beiden Balkonen aus, die sowohl Platz in der Sonne und zum Essen bieten. Georges als Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und steht für Fragen jeglicher Art zu Verfügung. Er hat mir hilfreiche Tipps für die Region gegeben und einen Kontakt für Carsharing vermittelt. Ein Auto sollte man hier auf jeden Fall mieten, da die Insel sehr weitläufig ist und man mit dem Bus nur einen Teil erkunden kann. Nach Heraklion ist die Verbindung sehr gut. Insgesamt hatte ich eine wunderschöne Woche und einen tollen Aufenthalt in Costal Key! Einziges Manko, das der Jahreszeit geschuldet ist: die Strandbars und Tavernen sind zu dieser Zeit noch nicht geöffnet und ich hatte die ersten Tage eine Baustelle vor der Tür.

What a wonderful apartment and a wonderful host! I had the most wonderful time. I went as a female solo traveller and I felt incredibly safe the whole time. The apartment was exactly as described. The check-in process was smooth and the instructions were super clear. Palm beach is a short walk away and entry to view inside the ghost town is also nearby. The town is also nearby with some lovely restaurants and very friendly locals. The amenities are wonderful and the mini market staff are super friendly. The pool was always clean and it was a very pleasant place to relax. Dündar was an AMAZING host and was super responsive. He was generous with providing his advice and his warmth via messaging absolutely contributed to the whole experience being very positive. I highly recommended visiting this area and staying in one of Dübar's wonderful apartments. If I ever return to Famagusta, I will be sure to see if Dünbar has availability, as I felt totally at home. Mona is the perfect host and excellent communicator , she even kindly picked us up from the airport and gave us a mini guided tour. We really enjoyed our stay in Agadir . Thanks
