Foresty cozy cabin. Enjoy the tranquility of Dalarna!

Enjoy the stillness and tranquility of nice Granbo. Close to forest, fruit trees and berry bushes! 1 mile to Dalarna's oldest town Hedemora, 1 km to the nice wooden town of Säter and 4 km to Romme Alpin, where you can enjoy fantastic skiing. Granbo is located in Vikmanshyttan where there is a pizzeria, gym, go-kart track(indoor) and swimming area. Our guest house is located on our farm, where there are also several outhouses, playhouse and garage. We have two cats, Leo and Bingo. Guests bring own bed linen and towels.

I detta nyrenoverade hus anno 1700-talet hittar ni en varm och mysig atmosfär med vackra nejder i Byn Hovgården. Gångavstånd till bad, sjöar och slingriga stigar som väntar på att bli utforskade. Med bil når ni Romme Alpin eller Borlänge Centrum på 12 minuter. Även många andra vackra sevärdheter och naturreservat finns i närheten som till ex. Gyllbergen, Turistvägen Silverringen. Möjlighet att hyra cyklar, kanot, kayak och vedeldad bastu finns. Och vi delar gärna våra favorit platser med er:)

Welcome to this cozy nest at the Dalälven edge, 5 km outside Hedemora. Grill on the patio, sauna and take a swim from your own jetty. Indoors there is a modern kitchen, toilet with shower, fireplace, TV and wifi. The sauna is wood-fired and the plot bathes in the sun in the mornings, sun all the way into the afternoon down on the jetty. Firewood and canoe are on site for a fee. Welcome to a newly built house on your own lake plot with magical views! In summertime you can enjoy swimming and sun from your own jetty as well as borrow a rowing boat, SUP and wood-burning barrel. In the fall you pick berries and mushrooms directly outside the house. In winter, it is about 13 minutes to Romme Alpin. When there is ice on the lake you can skate and go for lovely walks. There is a sauna and fireplace with access to wood for frozen ski enthusiasts.

We have really enjoyed our stay! The yard is wonderful and it only takes 2 minutes to walk to a lovely little swimming area. There are plenty of nice hiking trails nearby. We strongly recommend the place!

5 stars – a real gem! We had a wonderful time in Daniel's vacation home and would love to give it many more stars! The house is fantastically beautiful with a magnificent view of the lake – you can immediately feel the tranquility and the natural connection of the place. The cottage is lovingly and rustically furnished, with lots of charm and everything you need. We also found the many small possibilities around it particularly nice: you can rent a boat or a fishing rod from Daniel, get fresh eggs or even buy one of the sheepskins – all very straightforward. Daniel himself is super warm, helpful and always approachable – you feel right at home. His family and the surroundings were also just nice – everyone waves when you drive by, and there is an open, friendly atmosphere. For us, it was a completely harmonious, magical break – we will be happy to come back! Thank you very much, dear Daniel! 🌿✨

Offgrid at Stora Norn, Dalarna

We spent two weeks with three children ( 16, 10 and 6 years old) in Hannas Stuga. We enjoyed the time very much, cycled a lot ( by the way, the bikes shown in the pictures are all excellent😉) , cooked and tidied up together with the children (for example, our children did not know that the dishes can also be washed without a dishwasher). The best of course was the sauna, an absolute highlight of the holiday. Oh yes... the toilet. It was a little problematic for modern children, and after extensive instructions, this also worked smoothly. In the end, everyone was happy and agreed with both hands for such a vacation. To Hanna a big thank you for her place.

Super accommodation stocked with everything you need (kitchen utensils, clean laundry, basic equipment of spices, oil/vinegar, etc.). New rowing boat for free use. Great sauna, easy to use. Beautiful location. Walking distance all around access to the lake. Maria is very helpful, always available and has compiled a list of tips/possible. Activities. It should be noted that the cottage is located in a kind of neighborhood, probably a well-known place for the cottages of Sweden. Now in May we were practically the only one, which is why we were totally undisturbed, but can't estimate the location when it's high season. However, all residents encountered are very nice and the privacy is maintained with the construction. We had a wonderful and relaxing week. We highly recommend the place.
