Our wonderful home is very unique in many ways. The original home was built in 1870 and is situated on Pine Hill Homestead, one of the original homesteads of Bloomington. From the 1960s it was renovated by then owner and architect, C.Eugene Asbury. Since the renovation, our home has remained his vision and allows you to take a step back in time for what life was like in the 50s and 60s with furniture and lighting from that timeless era. We are happy to host short and long term visitors.

This Daisy Lane property was a dream location for a “destination staycation” — The property immediately felt like “home” and was extremely clean & well stocked with great amenities throughout!! 😍🤩 The pool glistened & hot tub was wonderfully steamy & super relaxing!! **We stayed the first week in June & paid to have the pool heated. We would recommend heating the pool to anyone staying in the Midwest before July/August (when regular seasonal temps would naturally heat the water to a more comfortable temperature).** The game table was also a very fun & unique feature — it provided great indoor entertainment when the weather outside wasn’t cooperating. 😁 Our hosts were quick to respond to any questions & were very friendly & eager to make sure we had an enjoyable stay!! 🥰 We will definitely recommend this Beyond The Path listing to friends & family & will be keeping it on our short list of places to return to in the future!! What a delightful stay in Mark's lovely home. Located near Eureka College, Main Street and the charming Memorial Day parade, and welcomed with fresh baked cinnamon bread and homemade "puppy chow", we were hooked when we walked in the door. . We were in town for a family reunion for the long weekend and this spacious, well appointed home was perfect for me and my 3 siblings. Also perfect for hosting a BBQ and multiple evenings around the HUGE dining table with cousins we hadn't seen in decades. Everyone who stepped inside commented on what a perfect home this is for entertaining. Honestly, I can't say enough about Mark's home. Plenty of dishes/ glasses/ silverware and knives worthy of Gordon Ramsey, wow. Comfy beds and plenty of comforters and pillows, THREE full bathrooms, thick, cushy carpeting and everything clean as a whistle. No complaints. "10 out of 10, we'd stay there again!" Thank you Mark and Lisa

We rented this house for a few of our employees working it town. It worked perfectly for us. There is plenty of space and we loved the recreation room. Highly recommend. We have already booked our second stay.

Was here traveling for work and I booked it for a month and within the first week I booked my second month because the house was perfect for a long stay it has everything you need and is close to downtown for restaurants and you have all the grocery stores within a 10 min drive. Scott is a great host and would recommend the house to anyone looking for a nice spot to stay.
