Wellkom in the Kijkhut that is centrally located in the north of the Netherlands. The viewing cabin is 15 minutes from Groningen. The Westerkwartier is characterized by the beautiful scenic landscape. The provinces of Drenthe and Friesland are just around the corner. Half an hour away is the Lauwersmeer area and the boat to Schiermonnikoog. We do not serve breakfast as standard On the morning after arrival, breakfast is free of charge on the basis of up to 2 people. The days after that you can order breakfast for €20 p.p.

Enjoy cooking, good conversations by the fireplace, relaxing in the alfresco sauna among the trees or in the hot tub on the terrace under the starry sky. But you can also use my house to work quietly in an inspiring location in the middle of nature. In the night the entire forest garden is beautifully and subtly lit. In short, a super nice place where you are immediately attacked by peace and natural beauty.

This attractive house is located in the middle of one of the most beautiful forests in Drenthe, far away from the daily hustle and bustle. Almost invisible from the road with spacious terraces and lots of privacy. Equipped with a sauna, hot tub, lounge area and veranda. An eldorado for those who love peace and nature, but equipped with all the comforts that make a stay so attractive. Enjoy titmice, robins, spotted woodpecker and squirrels. We (an older couple) had a wonderful week in Klara's cottage, the first few days together with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter (1 yr) from Sweden, the last few days with the two of us. The ground floor house with many facilities for a baby/child was extremely suitable for this. We hadn't been in the head of Drenthe for almost 40 years and it was still very nice, with alternating peat, forests, farmlands and dolmens, suitable for hiking and biking. New to us were a number of small but very interesting museums in Eelde, Roden and Oranjewoud. Very recommended, certainly for our target group..

We were here with 2 adults and 2 children (primary school age) for a weekend. When you are looking for peace and quiet this is the perfect place. The chalet is nicely located on the water. We thought the water was too dirty to swim in, but a 25-minute drive away is the Blue Lake, where you can swim. The prison museum in Veenhuizen is fantastic and in Appelscha is a nice outdoor swimming pool. We had a nice weekend!

Beautiful and cozy accommodation. The photos reflect the place very much. Aagje is very nice and helpful. The surroundings are idyllic and you can quickly get to Groningen by car and can explore the region excellently. We were there for a few days in November. It was very cozy with the log fire. The caravan is fully equipped and spacious. There's nothing missing. At night, when the fire is out, it can get cold in the caravan quickly. There are electric heating blankets in the beds. The heating blankets helped well against the cold, but with an extra heater for the bedroom it would have been better. The caravan is on the premises of a beautiful farm where there are horses. From the living room, you have great views of the countryside and watch horses on the paddock. All in all a great place to stay and recommended.

What an incredibly nice and lovely cottage, in the middle of the forest and at a window. Everything was present and clean. Furniture is slightly different than in the photo, but certainly no less bad. Beds are fine, we slept wonderfully! Terrace outside is also really nice, nice in the sun. Surroundings are beautiful and wonderfully quiet. Plenty to see and do. It's a bit of a search which small path to park, but the description clearly indicates that. Owners are friendly and quick to respond. Top!

We, family of 6 people, spent a weekend at Robert's chalet in Oosterwolde. First of all, our compliments for the decor, no matter what you need, it is there. Also, the chalet was super clean. We enjoyed sitting outside on the lounge set. Robert will be well before you arrive, contact you to explain how everything works with the key and gives some good tips. All in all, we had a wonderful weekend and it is subject to repetition.

We, three old colleagues from primary school, enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in this idyllic place in the middle of the forest with beautiful weather, an outdoor fire at the end of the afternoon, good food and lots of conversations in peace that prevails here. We felt right at home in this nice house and all three had a lovely private bedroom for ourselves. We are so excited that we remember to come back with our partners separately.

We had a great time in the chalet of Bert and Wies. Bert is the perfect host, all the details are thought of and communication went smoothly. The chalet itself is sublime; clean, generous and equipped with all comforts. We also had a lot of fun with the bikes, you can make some longer trips with it! The beautiful nature in the area lends itself well to this. And the city of Groningen is nearby, which provides variety. In short, absolutely recommended !
