Come and enjoy the beautiful Drenthe. Discover the Dwingelderveld, cycle through the Reestdal or visit one of the picturesque villages nearby. You can safely store your bicycles in our garage, and for short rides, we have loan bicycles for you. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We are looking forward to your arrival!

Cottage Wipperoen has been in our family for 50 years. It is not located in a vacation park and has its own entrance to the Tilweg. In 2018, it was completely renovated and furnished with a new kitchen, lovely beds and underfloor heating. The best thing is that it is in the middle of the trees. All the freedom on our own 1100m2 property! From the cottage you can walk into the woods in 5 minutes. Gees is centrally located in Drenthe: Emmen, the beautiful Orvelte and the shops of Hoogeveen are 20 minutes by car.

Thor Heste Guesthouse

Our guest house with original old elements, is located in Gees in a centuries-old sheepfold that belongs to our farm from 1748. It is a double guest room with living area and kitchen, a spacious bedroom and a bathroom. Through the garden doors you have access to the private terrace. Directly from the accommodation there are plenty of hiking and cycling opportunities in the beautiful nature around Gees. A walk through the centuries-old village with its Saxon farms is also recommended.

In 2024, this estate was transferred from a centuries-old family tradition to the Drenths landscape. Partly to preserve the estate, it was decided to partially convert it into an attractive B&B. Ideal for a vacation or for staying between the activities you have planned here in the area. In the summer, you can sit outside and enjoy the tranquility and nature, or go for a walk. If you’re the active type, the VAM mountain is also highly recommended! Or do you love horses? Feel free to come and pet one of our horses!

The holidayhome de Drentse Hooglander has its own entrance, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, a cosy living room with tv( netflix), a private garden and terrace.
