Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Nicolosi

I spent a wonderful month in this location - it's clean and comfortable with good wifi for remote working - perfect for what I was after. Maria is a wonderful host who is always responsive and cleaned the place once a week while leaving me nice things for breakfast! She even gave me a lift to and from Catania (c.10km) with my heavy suitcase. Trecastagni is a pleasant town on the slopes of Etna with accessible supermarkets and other essential shops as well as a some nice bars and restaurants and several churches. This location is better for those with private vehicles as the buses to/from Trecastagni are somewhat unreliable and it is a walk of several miles to the nearest train station (Acireale). However for those with vehicles it offers good access to Etna as well as other attractions in the area such as Catania and Acireale.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Fernando's house. The view of Mount Etna was beautiful and the space was charming. And we were greeted with a bottle of wine, water, and cookies. The biggest limitation is that, as indicated in the listing, the space does not have WiFi, but it is possible to have mobile data.

Great terraces with view of the sea. Not a lot of restaurants to walk to. Place was very clean and furnished well. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make several dinners there with no problem. We went during shoulder season so the area was very quiet. I’m sure it’s busier during the summer.

We had a wonderful stay at Davide’s beautiful property. It is extremely peaceful and beautiful. Davide is a consummate host, he’s incredibly warm and inviting and deeply invested in the contentment of his guests. He was responsive and insightful about any and all queries, he is a delight. This is a great location whether you’re looking to stay local or explore. We would have loved to stay longer, it went by too quick! Thank you SO much, Davide!!

Roberta was a great host and this house is absolutely beautiful. Great communication in a studying setting. We stayed here to hike, Mount Etna, and it was a perfect location for this. We were somewhat confused by the listing as we thought it had two bedrooms, but this was easily sorted out. Thank you so much.

Marcello's place is amazing! 🙂 He is the soul of the place, making it what it is. He is very warm, helpful and considerate. We got great tips and always felt perfectly taken care of. From the penultimate day, we were able to use the great platform for direct access to the sea. :) The access to the sea leads about 200-250? through Marcello's loving private garden. There is a private parking space that can be reached through 2 gates. Everything in the place was clean and well-maintained and there were a lot of details.

The view was fantastic! And the apartment is very spacious. It was nice having a full kitchen and two bathrooms. We enjoyed the space and liked the peace and quiet. There were also good local restaurants close by, so a very convenient location.

This is a lovely flat and we particularly appreciated that they facilitated our arriving after midnight when our flight was substantially delayed. Sorry for the inconvenience guys! We did experience periodic power cuts during the week which apparently were not the owner's fault but to do with the electricity supply to the entire street. The pool is so nice to have in the hot weather.

We loved our stay - great location and lovely space to be in

Staying there was wonderful. We were only a couple, but there were enough rooms for two couples easily. For us, everything was perfect—the view into the theatre (which actually had 3 performances while we were there), the closeness to the walkable city center, and the personal interaction with the gracious, attentive hosts, who live in the same building. There are flights of stairs to the place, and a few interior steps to one of the bedrooms—this was nothing for us, but would not be right for some people. The place is large, well decorated, with amazing lighting, and views. One of the most special places we have been in, and we have traveled a lot.

Livios place is a hidden gold mine in Stazzo. It was so perfect for what we wanted. A peaceful balcony by the sea with access to the water and a view of Etna. Livio was kind, warm, and insightful. He explained the village to us and even provided a helpful map of where to go. We would recommend to anyone and will be returning soon (we hope!!)

I, my partner, and little Nora, who is only 9 months old, stayed at "Casa Boeo" for two nights, on the occasion of a wedding we had planned in Santa Tecla. The apartment is very nice, simple but cared for in every detail, nothing is really missing. Small but essential, very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to meet Antonio in person due to a time mismatch, but he left us clear instructions on how to retrieve the keys and we entered without any problems. Antonio was also kind enough to suggest some streets in the neighborhood where we could find parking, and we actually had no major problems with it.

The apartment is very well located. We spent one whole day only in Catania and the other 2 days, we took day trips. The apartment was perfect: close to basically everything (even the Museo dello Sbarco is only one subway station away). We had an issue with the AC as it wasn’t functioning and Salvatore came by to fix it even though it was late. We are a family of 4 and we weren’t on top of each other. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Nice water pressure which is not always the case in Sicily. The elevator is of course a big plus. The restaurant across the street serves delicious pizzas. Lots of choices for ice creams and granita in the neighborhood: we didn’t manage to try them all:) Bellini’s museum and family home is not far and worth the visit.

Diego’s place was so cute - open and bright - and we loved the balcony! He was very helpful with recommendations in the area and responsive to any questions we had. Parking was right around the corner which was super convenient. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautifully designed condo. All amenities available and the place is close to the city squares. Perla and Luigi were very accommodating and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful apartment, fully kitted out, easy to find and just a short walk from all the sights in the centre of Catania. The hosts were really helpful and sent us a list of great places to eat and had also left a file in the property of recommended places to go and visit. We had a lovely stay here and we'd highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Catania. Really hoping to come back and stay here again as there's so much to see and do, we just couldn't fit it all in.🙂🙂

Very nice apartment, spacious and well located in relation to visits, lively neighborhood in the city center

Andrea was a wonderful host! His Airbnb was just as pictured, very clean, felt like home. It’s in the perfect location for the area, not directly in the hustle and bustle providing privacy and peace but still only a few short minute walks to everything. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked REALLY well. The best part of this Airbnb was meeting his adorable mom who loves to chat in Italian (we don’t speak a word) and her sweet dog Molly.

The condo is stunning—a truly amazing architectural experience. The only downside was having trouble unlocking the door; it would’ve been helpful to have an easier process or in-person assistance. Aside from that, we loved the stay—it was absolutely worth the money and experience.

There’s not much to add except that everything was absolutely perfect. The apartment is stunning—beautifully furnished, fully equipped, extremely comfortable, and ideally located within the city. We received the best communication, assistance, and helpful suggestions we've ever had from any of our previous Airbnb stays. We also booked a private tour to Mount Etna through our host and had an unforgettable experience with our guide, Simone. Five stars all around. Thank you again!

The apartment is amazing, it has everything we could need and beyond! It easily accommodates 4 people, the sofa turns into a pretty decent bed. The apartment is in a nice, quiet area. There are nearby restaurants and supermarkets. Vittorio is a great host, always responsive and with lots of recommendations! No question was left unanswered. He even offered a (very!) late checkout for us, as there were no other guests expected. I highly recommend this apartment! Felt right at home.
