No.33 Coach House

HeatherRating, 5 stars3 months ago
King Charles & Queen Camilla were visiting Northern Ireland at the time of our visit. The King’s residence is in Hillsborough, the castle being right next to Lorna’s house so it was busy for the duration of our stay, however, a five minute walk we were in the beautiful forest with fabulous views of the lake. The parking was challenging (only because of the Royal visit) but we were able to find a space right outside! There were plenty of nice restaurants for meals and some nice local shops to browse. Lorna’s house was very well equipped, full of character and warm The welcome pack was a lovely touch.

Perfect Holiday retreat in Dundrum

The house is very comfortable and well located. It's an easy walk to the local cafes, pubs and restaurants. Dorothy provided lots of excellent information about local attractions and eateries - and a lovely welcome pack with bread, milk and other goodies. It's just a 10 minute drive to Donard car park if you want to hike in the Mournes. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The Old Bank, a stunning restoration...

DianaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our family had a fantastic 5-night stay at "The Bank" in Portaferry! The location couldn’t have been better – right in the heart of the town. What made our stay truly special was the heritage charm of the property. So many details still reflect its history as an old bank, and that unique character really added to the experience. We especially loved the cosy fireplace, which made those cold, dark winter evenings feel warm and inviting. Plus, everything in Portaferry was just a short walk away, making it super convenient to explore the area. Having a Eurospar right across the street was such a bonus too! We absolutely enjoyed our time here and would recommend "The Bank" to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.
The kitchen and dining area feature light-coloured cabinetry and a neutral tiled floor. A round dining table surrounded by six white chairs is illuminated by a modern chandelier. A colourful piece of artwork hangs on the wall, providing a focal point in the space.

I’ve done a few airbnbs but this is the first time that our host left fresh food for us to cook, etc. it was very thoughtful and kind, consistent with who this host is. We ended up misplacing a device and she proactively said she found it and is in the process of mailing it back to us. Highly recommend location and host to others.

A gem of a property. Spectacular views from the living area. House was spotlessly clean and a fantastic selection of local goodies was left by Gillian. Short stroll down to pubs and restaurants. Great games room. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming seaside house located just a stone's throw from the local aquarium. Here are my thoughts on the experience: ### Location The location was absolutely perfect! Nestled along the coast, the house offered breathtaking views of the ocean. Being so close to the aquarium was a huge plus, especially for our kids who loved exploring the exhibits. ### Accommodation The house itself was spacious and well-appointed. It featured three bedrooms, a modern kitchen, and a cozy living area. , We appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail, with fresh linens and a well-stocked kitchen. I will defo visit again!!
A fully equipped kitchen features wooden cabinetry and a modern stove with an oven. Countertops are finished in dark stone, and colorful tiles adorn the walls. Appliances include a kettle and a microwave, while a sink and ample storage are also present in this functional space.

Delightful four bedroom period townhouse.

We had a great stay at Catherine’s Airbnb. Everything we needed was provided and the beds were very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The house was all decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. We had a lovely welcome gift which was very much appreciated. Catherine gave very clear instructions on how to operate the showers and the heating. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend people to stay here.
