Cottage vacation rentals in Newcastle

We had a beautiful stay at Seaview Cottage. Niall was there to greet us on arrival and show us around. The attention to detail and little touches made us feel so welcome along with the friendly host and unbelievable views made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We highly recommend staying at Niall and Janeen’s cottage, thank you both very much for having us!

The cottage was so charming, cozy and exactly as pictured. The bed was so comfortable I wish I had it at my house! We arrived a little earlier than planned and they worked with us to get us in early! There was a little grocery just down the road that had everything we needed to make a meal. We would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to see the Giants causeway. Extremely convenient!

We are just back from a lovely, relaxing few days away at the cottage and we are already wanting to go back! Beautiful location, so peaceful and the cottage itself was just out of this world and of course not forgetting the amazing hot tub! We can’t wait to plan our next stay soon at the cottage. We even got to bring along our dogs who had so much fun. Big thank you to Glenn who made sure everything was perfect for our stay and was always there if we needed anything. We have made memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you again Killeavy cottage 😃

Beautiful house! Every bit as good as it looks to be in the photos. Looking out through the main window in the lounge area we were able to watch the ships and boats sail past on the sea and looking through the other window at the back of the house we were able to watch the clouds and rain storm folding over the mountains. Then this morning while enjoying our coffee we to watched the rabits play in the field behind us. Such a magical place and so peaceful. We had such a lovely time and hope to be back soon. We were delighted by our time in Tosses Cottage. It was a beautiful place to stay in the glorious rolling hills and countryside. The hot tub was an extra special treat. Colleen was very responsive and helpful in all communications and everything was as she said it would be.

Really lovely cottage with spectacular views in a very tranquil setting. Jackie was super responsive and the cottage had everything you could need.

We had a fabulous stay at Kilcoobin cottage. It is very well equipped and comfortable....a real home from home. The surroundings are quiet and the views spectacular. There are 2 sitting rooms to choose from. The kitchen is large and very well-eqipped. The bedrooms are all large and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe/ drawer space. We took our youngest grandchildren aged 10years and 6 years for the first time and, despite some mixed weather there was lots for them to do in the surrounding area. Beaches are clean and very few people about. The people who we did meet were friendly and welcoming. There are some good restaurants close by. Kilcoobin is a calm oasis where we could relax and leave our hectic lives behind.

It was a very nice place with a great central location for travelling to various points of interest, making our trip much more enjoyable. The cottage was well appointed, with as described facilities, so there were no bathroom queues in the morning! Heating was easy to use, with intuitive controls (there was a fire too, but we were out most of the day, so decided to play it safe). WiFi was great too. We would love to return to this lovely place in the future.

Adrain's house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed having the cows and sheep outside our windows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Lovely spot and very clean. We enjoyed a relaxing stay. Great shower and bath and full kitchen. We appreciated the tea, coffee, oil etc to feel at home. We couldn't use the fire as couldn't find any logs. Also ran out of toilet paper and didn't seem to be any spare! We had to buy our own powder for the washing machine which is fine but would have been great to know in advance!

We had a great stay at Jane's place while attending a wedding locally. The location is great, so quiet and restful - and everyone (but especially the crawling baby!) loved the big enclosed garden. The house is really well-equipped and Jane was super-helpful with advice and recommendations, and super-responsive in sorting out the couple of issues/any questions we had. having the beach so close was a real treat and the walk down it to the iconic Cable Bar was so scenic and enjoyable, especially with a pint of Guinness waiting at the other end. Great stay - would recommend.

Gillian’s place is a Lovely cosy house set in beautiful countryside, very quiet and private place it was ideal for our needs. We travelled to the Balmoral Show during our stay. We ate in local restaurants in Saintfield which were also very tasty with very pleasant staff We really enjoyed our stay Thank you Gillian

Diane was an excellent host. She had good recommendations and helped me out with ordering a taxi as my phone plan doesn’t support making or taking of local calls. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The only negative were the stairs to the upper floor. They were very steep and maybe not for those with mobility issues. All in all a lovely stay here. I highly recommend Diane’s cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cottage. The cottage was beautiful, with peaceful surroundings and lots to do near by!! Elaine made us feel right at home and had wonderful bakery items for us to enjoy.

Quite possibly the best stay I ever had! Ivan and family were so generous and friendly and the place is truly one of a kind. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay! Highly recommended!!

We loved Nan's place. What a beautiful location and a beautiful cottage. We loved the cows that often came to visit. The views were amazing. It even had a dryer that actually dried our clothes! I would highly recommend Nan's place and would definitely stay there again. Nan was a great host and the cottage was the most beautiful we have ever stayed in.

A charming little gem in the heart of Hillsborough! No. 3 Arthur Street Cottage is cosy, well-appointed, and full of character. The space was spotless and thoughtfully decorated, making it a perfect spot to unwind. What really stood out was the warm welcome—there were cakes, bottled water, midnight snacks, and even a lovely bottle of wine waiting . Such a considerate and personal touch! Just a short stroll from the village shops and cafes, yet tucked away enough for peace and quiet. A truly delightful stay.

Helen’s cottage was lovely set in peaceful surroundings. Everything you needed to cook a meal was provided. The bed was very comfortable and house was very cosy , ideal spot for visiting lots of attractions would definitely stay here again Helen was very responsive and have lots of ideas to do

So incredibly beautiful, miss the mountain and sea views from kitchen sink and front of house respectively already!! Wish we were back there, and will try get another weekend booked asap!! Thank you for everything provided, such high spec! And we were even blessed with a NI heatwave to sunbathe!!

Perfect for our family at Easter. Lots of walks a very short distance away and not far from town centre. Lovely private, enclosed garden where our kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt! Friendly and welcoming hosts, very clean accommodation with a helpful welcome pack. The cosy, beautiful setting very much made up for the damp weather. A little hidden gem in the Mournes, would not hesitate to book again.
