Cottage vacation rentals in Newbury

We stayed at Paul’s lovely property for the second time as we loved it so much the first time round. Our recent stay was made even better by the addition of a hot tub , the ping pong table and loads of board games and activities. The bedrooms were clean and comfy like before and we loved the living and dining space. Our 3 kids had an amazing time running around in the garden and going for little walks around the grounds. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and we loved having freshly popped popcorn for our movie evenings at the house! The property is close to Millets Farm Centre which was great for the kids as there’s always a lot to do there!

A beautiful cottage, small but perfectly formed! Private, everything you need, great hot-tub, cosy, tastefully decorated, lovely area!

We had such a lovely stay, everything was just as described and even better in person. The hot tub was spotless and perfect for relaxing, and the space felt really private and peaceful. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made everything really easy. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and clear instructions. We genuinely left feeling refreshed and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay at a beautiful location in the New Forest. The hosts were really welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful with local recommendations, the property is lovely, and all the animals were a big bonus for the kids. Highly recommended and we’d love to return.

We just had a wonderful long weekend in Wherwell in Rob & Sue’s beautiful cottage. Such a stunning village, the cottage exceeded our expectations, Rob & Sue were fantastic hosts & the breakfast pack was great. We finished the weekend with a lovely soak in the hot tub. My first time booking an Airbnb and was a wonderful experience, everything was so seamless and stress free. Chrissy was always so attentive to make sure we were okay and to contact her if we needed and also more than happy to leave us to our holiday if preferred. Spotless and clean premises whilst also feeling like a home away from home. Couldn’t fault anything. Would always recommend to people looking for a relaxing getaway. Thank you so much again :)

Lovely little stay. Cute place- beautiful church and fields just yards away. Debra kindly posted my AirPods I left back to me- overall the perfect little escape for a few days with easy access to wander the ridgeway.

We had a wonderful relaxing time, lovely local walks and some great pubs nearby.

Hope Cottage is amazing. The location is wonderful, the house itself has everything you need and makes you feel like you're staying in a proper British cottage. Sarah is an amazing host: she answered any questions I had very quickly and was just in general very kind. One thing to note: the house isn't built for tall people. I'm 181 cm tall (about 5'11) and I had to bend down a bit whilst going through doorways or using the shower. It didn't really bother me, but it's just something to be aware of. Whether you want a quiet retreat or a homebase to explore the area, this is an amazing place to do so!

Valerie’s cottage is very peaceful and is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Cotswolds. The Old House Barn is very clean and had all the amenities you will need. Valerie provided us great recommendations for places to visit and some great restaurants. She is also quick to respond to any messages. I definitely give her and The Old House Barn 5 stars! We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future!

Our stay at Rowena’s property was a perfect first getaway with our 2 month old and our dog. She was really responsive with our questions about the travel cot as well as giving us recommendations for local walks. The property is in a great location, a short walk to the centre of Lyndhurst for food and coffee. Also a great central location to get out and about in the new forest with the baby and the dog. Would definitely recommend.

The house is beautiful—cozy, inviting, and very well located! We always wante to know how those cute Cotswolds houses would look like from inside and it really surprised us! Joe was super helpful from the beginning, easy to communicate with and very supportive. We really enjoyed our stay overall and are looking forward to come back.

We had a fantastic stay for three nights. Downton is a beautiful and well located village. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Pennie was very welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We’d definitely come back and recommend to anyone!

What an absolutely charming property, we felt instantly at home and Victoria had left us some delicious treats on arrival and beautiful homegrown flowers too. We had booked this as a trip for my husband’s 60th birthday and it was just perfect. The Old Dairy was so peaceful and relaxing we didn’t want to leave. Painswick is a pretty village with beautiful walks from the doorstep of the property. We would not hesitate to book again and would highly recommend it to others. Thanks again for letting us stay!

My wife and I stayed here for a portion of an overall longer trip. This was by far our favorite stay. A beautiful place just as described, with easy access to the surrounding community. We will be back if we get the chance.

We had the most amazing stay to celebrate our Honeymoon. The cottage was beyond our expectations - felt like we were living in a fairytale. Martin had left lots of useful information about the local area which we used to plan our days and get the most out of our time in the Cotswolds. The cottage itself had everything you could possibly need for the most relaxing, peaceful stay. A trip we will never forget! We loved the cottage. There are a few challenges that are well communicated by the host due to the age of the house, but in my estimation, this only adds to its charm. the surrounding village and countryside are amazing! Highly recommend breakfast at Henry's.
