Great location, handy to the local cafe's, pub and 4 Square for food shopping, only 5 minutes walk to the beautiful Oakura beach, we particularly like the secure backyard since we had our 2 dogs, we were able to relax knowing they couldn't get out. Thank you Kate, Paul and Sally (their dog🐶😊) for a relaxing stay.

This beautiful cottage in a very calm neighborhood is just perfect to enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a lot to explore and see in the area of New Plymouth and Taranaki. Perfectly located for daytrips. Sue ans Gav are such lovely and caring hosts, very attentive and responding quickly in case of questions. The cottage is very clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. We would definitely recommend it and would love to come back.

We were in New Plymouth for Te Matataini. The accomodation was perfect for our stay ad we were out early and back late in the evening. The price was great as other similar properties were asking at least twice as much. It was an easy drive on the motorway back to the venue at the Bowl of Brooklands.

A crystal-clear pool reflects the bright blue sky, adjacent to a modern home with large glass windows. The expansive ocean and lush green coastline create a serene backdrop, enhancing the outdoor living space that extends along the property.

Coming from the US, its mid-century design is archetypal of a home you’d expect to find in the desert area of Palm Springs, California. David, the owner, has paid meticulous attention to its mid-century heritage, including its landscaping of palms and agaves. Furthermore, the house and pool are positioned for magnificent and unobstructed oceanside views allowing for sun filled days and star lit nights. Truly a year round home, for chilly days the pool is comfortably heated and for chilly nights the wood burning fireplace roars. Quality and styled to fit furnishings completes the full package. We had a great stay at Joanne's house in Oakura. The location was fantastic - private and peaceful, yet only a short drive to New Plymouth. The house itself was very spacious, easily accommodating our two families. The pool and games room were a huge hit and provided plenty of entertainment for everyone. Joanne the host responded promptly to any questions we had and had great communication. We would definitely recommend this property for large groups or families looking for a comfortable, fun, and conveniently located getaway.

Chris’s house was fantastic for our family gathering of six. More than enough room and beautiful grounds as well. The spa was heavenly! Chris is a very communicative and excellent host. Wonderful old home in the middle of the New Zealand countryside. We would come back for sure!

Great place to stay, with large, comfortable beds. Pet-friendly, with fully fenced section. Garden is beautiful and house is situated right next to Te Henui walkway to the sea. Local Orangery restaurant at the nearby Plymouth has delicious food. Kitchen, bathrooms, and linen are very clean - but the house is tired. We still loved it :)
