Vacation rentals with lake access in New Plymouth Central

This place is incredible! We felt like kids again using the slides and swings. The hosts were so lovely, they’ve provided everything you could think of to enjoy the place, even in the rain. We absolutely loved it, couldn’t recommend the place enough!

The view of Taranaki Maunga from the property is incredible!! I was expecting—but was still delighted by—the views of the ocean at sunset, but to also be able to see such a dynamic, majestic mountain was an honor. The clouds hugged the peak and cloaked it until the evening hours, and then the clouds drifted on and we were lucky enough to get to see it fully. Tanya was a kind and accommodating host, and we appreciated all of her communication with us!

Our stay at Tina and Marg’s mid century mountain home was such a unique and incredibly special part of our trip! Waking up to that view of the mountain, the gorgeous gardens, and the adorable sheep was unlike anything I’ve experienced before! Inside the home, the attention to detail and adorable decor was so fun to look at. Tina and Marg were so accommodating and even left us some treats to feed the sheep, which absolutely made my day! They have mastered the art of hosting. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The studio is small but quiet and pleasant to stay in due to the big windows facing the garden. Also well equipped ! We found it private even though it’s right beside the owners’ house. It’s not in central New Plymouth but it’s about an 8-10 min drive from downtown. The beach is right nearby - although to get directly to it you have to walk cross a golf course for 10 mins which we found a bit sketchy with golfers actively hitting drives! There are public access points a 15-20 min walk - we found that easier! We recommend Niamh’s place for sure!

When I was choosing accommodation to stay in in the Taranaki area, I considered the weather, if it was to rain or the weather was not the best, we'd like to be staying somewhere cozy at least to make up for it and Ecoscape did not disappoint. It was private. Peaceful. It felt like our own sactuary amidst the recent ex cyclone passing through. We had a glimpse of Mt Taranaki every now and then and it was stunning. I could not get enough of it. Would definitely be back if we are in the area.

Exactly as described. A great character house with an amazing view, and all the amenities we needed to make it a very comfortable stay, a home from home. Donna and Shyam were great, providing simple and clear instructions for the property and any questions were answered very quickly. The location is great, a short walk to Lake Rotomanu and a little further on to the Te Rewa Rewa bridge and onto the coastal walkway, and only a 5-minute drive into New Plymouth city centre. It was perfect for us. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, and next time I am planning a trip to the area I will certainly be looking to see if Donna and Shyam's property is available.

I booked this for my sister and brother in-law, they were absolutely delighted with Katrina and the stay, I will be keen to stay myself next time.

Gorgeous place with a great use of space! Loved the styling and felt right at home immediately, would definitely stay again!
