Due to the flexible design of sleeping arrangements, there are no limits here for families or small groups of up to six people. Dogs are also welcome for a small surcharge of 10 euros per night. When master baker Hans Lange settled here in Saalfed in 1546 with the secret Nuremberg gingerbread recipe, no one could have guessed that his business would continue for 19 generations. We, as the 20th generation, cannot bake as well as our ancestors, but we would like to welcome you instead to our former bakery shop and thus continue the family tradition in a slightly different form. Welcome to House of Wood, in the unique atmosphere of a natural log house. Here you will find a wonderful place to find peace and relaxation, go hiking and experience an incomparable starry sky. Our vacation home complex was built and designed with loving detail work over many years. It is located on the outskirts of our small village. Communication until check-in usually takes place through our daughter and co-host Sandra.

Timber construction trailer

The construction trailer made of larch wood is ideal for a romantic vacation for two. While lying in the loft bed, you can watch the stars through the large panoramic window or comfortably drink a cup of tea in front of the fireplace. In the small bathroom there is a sink and the compost toilet. In the building for the campers on the premises, you also have the possibility to shower and use a "normal" toilet.

The apartment has been completely renovated and received new furniture. There is a bathroom with a floor-level shower and a new kitchen that is well equipped. The apartment can accommodate 2-4 people. The bedroom for 2 and a sofa bed for 2 in the living room. Quiet location! The large garden with several seats behind the house can be used. Parking is available in front of the house. Wi-Fi is available.

Our property is located in the middle of nature on the outskirts of Dittrichshütte, a village at an altitude of 600 meters. It is very quiet with us as the road is hardly used. The accommodation is a great starting point for hikes and sporty mountain biking or motorcycle tours.
