Kris is so warm that I immediately felt welcome and knew her home would be a happy place. Her house very peaceful. In fact I spent a rainy day reading and enjoying my own hobby (exploring puzzles) while she went around her own business. I felt comfortable enough to share a night out for dinner with her - I will remember it fondly.

Kris is such a pleasure! Her work with wood is so interesting. We got to pet her children (horses) and it was nice to have such a clean place, comfortable bed and in close drive time to Makers Mark distillery. A nice stay to see a distillery, get a few nice meals and chat with Kris. Thank you for welcoming us into your place!!!

The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the peaceful surroundings allowed us to relax and unwind. Whether it was enjoying a morning coffee on the porch or spending evenings by the fire, every moment was special. The kids even caught fish ! I brought a group of 8 friends to go cycling in the area and tour distilleries in the afternoon. We had a great time, and Sara's place was perfect for the 9 of us. Yes, it's way off the beaten path but I knew that when I booked it. It's very private and has LOTS of room. The host tub was great, too.

Lake Retreat

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Beautiful home within 3 miles to town. Spring fed lake, fishing (catch and release), swimming, patio and grilling facility at lake as well at the house. Home is very comfortable, stunning views off the deck. Sitting on 10 acres that are private. Several swings to just relax on. Plenty of restaurants and shopping close to home along with golf courses. Several distilleries close by. 6 guest max! NO LOCALS.
