The Getaway in Bourbon Country with Breakfast

AmberRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The listing undersells the space - this beautiful barn retreat provides everything you could need or want, and so much more! You’re greeted by music playing on the indoor/outdoor speakers and walk into a place that feels like home. It’s comfortable, neatly arranged, and the attention to detail is incredible. Windows with picturesque views, piles of books all about, a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, walkable property with friendly animals… oh yeah, and breakfast waiting in the fridge! There were fresh eggs, bacon, and biscuits for each morning. We had planned to spend our second day hiking at Bernheim, but we ended up just relaxing in the barn and taking walks down by the river. We had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Jackie, who is an amazing host and now a dear friend. She’s so fun, upbeat, caring, and you can tell hosting has become her passion. My husband and I came for a very important meeting and she provided a perfect environment for him to relax and prepare.

Countryside Getaway

RachealRating, 5 stars16 months ago
Beautiful cottage in a private and peaceful country setting. We were in town to visit family for the holidays and this home was everything we could have asked for. All the amenities that we needed and then some. We woke up one morning to an added bonus of a beautiful snowy morning.
A gravel driveway leads towards a two-story brick house, framed by leafless trees on both sides. The path is flanked by manicured lawns, creating a welcoming approach that highlights the property's expansive outdoor space.

Loved the barn. We were there for a softball tournament and there was plenty of room upstairs for the girls to hang out and plenty of property for them to roam around. Fire pit was great. Will definitely stay again if back in that area.

The Hutch-Derby Availability!

RandyRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Spending three nights at The Hutch proved to be the perfect base for our bourbon-guzzling adventures! The 240-year-old farmhouse is unlike any place you will stay in your life. A wonderful mix of history, comfort, and location, The Hutch is truly one-of-a-kind. The renovations made to the house by the Hutchins Family were perfect. The family has also let guests in on the history of the house with short messages here and there throughout, along with plenty of family historical photos. While you may not think being out in the middle of a farm would be the best way to see the distilleries and such, it actually is perfect. We spent every night out by the fire pit in the back yard under the string lights and daytime hours on the front porch rockers. Bardstown is only a few minutes away. It's so much better than being up in Louisville! Unless you feel the need to traipse off to bars every night on foot, this is the place to base your Bourbon Trail trip!

I almost hate to let everyone know how WONDERFUL staying at Dawn’s Wagon Wheel Barndominium was—I’m afraid it will always be booked when we want to head back there, which we DEFINITELY will do. Great host, great space, great amenities, great location. One of my best AirBnB experiences!

Scott & Lisa, went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! They provided a personalized experience making this Airbnb unforgettable. We had a group of 12 guys for a bachelor party and their home is in the best spot to easily visit all of the top distilleries! Their home was well stocked and with plenty of towels & beds for the group! We enjoyed spending our evenings hitting golf balls on the driving range, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing cards in the basement. This is a must stay!

Historic Simmstown Manor Located on Bourbon Trail

KatieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We always enjoy our time at Larry’s Place. Larry is always easy to communicate and quick to respond. The house is always very clean and orderly and we while we don’t always need them, we always appreciate the little extras in the kitchen like coffee, oatmeal, and granola bars for morning. My kids always love the space in the house and love running around on the property. We usually bring our own food for cooking, but there are definitely great restaurants to visit. We love the peace that the house and property provides and look forward to another stay.

The Barrel Head

DylanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was my second time staying at Kimberly's bnb and it was immaculate both times! Make sure you get up early to watch the gorgeous sunrise, as well as a sunset in the evening over the field across the street. You can watch the sun set while on the little patio while having a fire. This bnb is also close to quite a few distilleries which makes a bunch of the bourbon trail accessible in a few days time. I recommend this house to others and would absolutely stay there a third time!
