We had a great stay! The location is wonderfully remote, offering peace and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The home itself is clean and well-maintained with great amenities that made our stay very comfortable. While it would have been nice to have air conditioning upstairs, the aircon downstairs kept the space cool enough. Overall, a lovely home with everything you need. Would definitely recommend and hope to return!

We really enjoyed our stay. As others had mentioned, the company of Oslo and Kirby, the two house dogs, was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and sitting area underneath the house as well as the large deck upstairs. There’s lots of good restaurants in Dauin and it’s really helpful to rent a scooter for the ~10 minute ride. For divers, Liquid Dive resort is directly next-door, which is very convenient. We would definitely stay again.

I have never stayed longer than a week anywhere in the Philippines until I came here. The planned 1 month of stay turned into 4. This is a magical place that attracts with its unique atmosphere and stunning sunsets, the best place for those who are tired of civilization and the bustle of the city. Izak and his family are wonderful people, friendly and always ready to help. The time spent here is unforgettable so I can't wait till the day when i can meet them again.

I lived at Chada na balay for 3 months while interning at a marine science center, and it was a perfect home base throughout my stay. Lynn and her mom Anita (who lives on site) are extremely responsive and friendly, acting as local supports and becoming caring friends while I lived there. It's clear from the way that guests keep in touch with Anita and keep returning that her presence adds so much to this experience. I fell in love with the dogs who live on the property, and they would walk me to work most mornings. The home itself is light and airy, with an upstairs bedroom/sitting area that's perfect for morning yoga and evening reflections. The Wi-Fi was strong enough for video calls and the on-site rainwater system meant that water was fresh and abundant. I appreciated being able to cook simple meals at home when I needed a break from the food at the internship site. I simply cannot recommend this site enough--I will certainly hope to stay there again when next I visit!

Fuego Island was good value for money. Although we would have paid a bit more for more comfort. For example, the room was big enough for comfortable chairs to sit and read. It was clean, the AC was cold (a great relief after being out in the sun) and the toilet was very spacious. The only issue there was the water pressure. But maybe it was due to lack of water supply due to the drought. One thing we really liked was that the place was walking distance from Tubod Marine Sanctuary, where we snorkelled every morning. The Friday Music Night was also pleasant and relaxing. Great stay overall.

The place itself is very beautiful. The room very large considering we were only 5 since it was the only available at the time. Wished we booked a poolside room for the view since our view was the opposite to the pools but it was still close and very near to the restaurant and reception area. There were many big mosquitos so be prepared but they had nets to hang over your bed. All in all, we enjoyed our stay immensely! Will definitely come back again and recommend to others.

Our stay at Miss Marites' Airbnb in Dumaguete was absolutely wonderful. Despite our late arrival, Miss Marites was incredibly responsive and made our check-in process seamless. The property is a haven of peace and tranquility, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our time there. The surroundings are serene, and the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in Dumaguete.
