Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Nauvoo

David was courteous and easy to work with. He communicated promptly regarding check in and check out messages and his instructions were clear and easy to follow. Overall, we had a great stay at the house. Perhaps the bathroom could have used an update, but it was nothing we couldn’t live with. The price was right, so we have no complaints. We would choose this property again if our travel plans bring us to Burlington again.

We were in town to visit family and Twila and Jeff’s home felt as close to being at home as you can get. The house was clean, very well maintained, and Twila has thought of everything that someone may need. Truly one of the nicest stays overall for us. Twila and Jeff are fantastic hosts! We will rent from them again for sure.

The Grand Victorian is unique, lovely and spacious - and the perfect setting for our family gathering. Lovely to be across from a park and within view of the Mississippi. We could walk to have coffee downtown (Swed & Co), as well as to a few restaurants and a bookstore. The beds were comfortable. The train sounds didn’t bother us much. (Bring earplugs if you’re worried). One thing - if you come in at night as we did, be aware there are two sets of internal stairs - the narrow back stairs off the kitchen, which we imagine were for servants’ use - and the grand staircase toward the front of the house will be much better for carrying suitcases upstairs. This is a special place. We’d be delighted to return.

This is a great place to stay for families visiting historic Nauvoo. It is close to all the sites, and just a couple doors down from Casey's and Dollar General, which is convenient for any items you forgot to pack. The house is very old, but well maintained and the host is very responsive. It gave our family plenty of space to come home and relax. With such limited options in Nauvoo, this is a good find!

The White House Inn was very accommodating for a group of 8 made up of 3 families traveling together. We were all very comfortable with our own spaces and the social spaces had plenty of room too. The buttermilk pancakes and oatmeal were a nice touch for the cold weather. The kitchen was equipped well for cooking. The area was quiet as it was off season in Nauvoo. We did enjoy walking to the shops that were open. Definitely worth booking again even if traveling with a smaller group.

Amber was a very responsive host. Her place was extremely clean and well stocked. She had fantastic taste in decorations and furniture. We will definitely stay here the next time we’re in Burlington. Highly recommend.

Over all an amazing place to stay. No Internet right now, but everything else was great. Very responsive host, very clean place. We stayed in the three bedroom place, and the kitchen was a great resource to help save money while visiting. One bed was more stiff than the others. If you're there for the pageant, you're probably going to be too tired for it to matter. ;)

We loved our stay at Linda’s house! It was perfect t for our needs. Lots of blankets and towels, and plenty of supplies for cooking. They even had a crockpot!

This cozy place was just what I was looking for. It met my needs perfectly and I was able to be close to my family while I was visiting and still have the privacy of home. Thank you!

I felt at home and my stay was relaxing. I would recommend this place for short and long term.

Space was exactly as described. Safe neighborhood. Comfortable beds. Clean. Pet friendly was very important to us and we and our dog felt right at home! We will be back to Burlington often to visit family and hope to stay at Katrina’s again.
