Absolutely beautiful place with a gorgeous view of the river. The house is one of those places that makes you feel instantly at home. Sally is an epic host, super responsive and kind.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was amazing, great location and neighborhood. Extremely well furnished, comfy towels and bed. I will definitely consider staying here again. Check-in was a breeze.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and well-equipped property. The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly located—close to town yet peaceful with stunning views. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor area was great for relaxing. One highlight was the spa pool—a great addition to the property. However, the water felt a bit over-chlorinated, which meant we couldn’t stay in for more than 10 minutes at a time. That’s just a small detail in an otherwise perfect stay, and I’m sure it’s something that can be easily adjusted. Overall, we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ohakune. It’s a wonderful spot, and we would happily return in the future!

This house was perfect for our family group of 9 adults. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking large meals, and it was great having two full bathrooms. The fire and some heaters kept us warm at night.

We stayed for 10 nights whilst visiting our daughter in Taupo - it felt like home from home! Very well equipped, comfortable bed, brilliant shower and easy walk to the lakefront and local amenities. Highly recommended!

We were over for work but appreciated being able to stay in Linley's lovely home.

Sally was amazing!!! Highly recommend her place. She was extremely communicative - quick to respond and answered general questions unrelated to our stay but more geared towards the area. Super helpful and accommodating. She has a very cozy place that’s a prime spot if you’re looking to hike in the national park. It’s walking distance to two restaurants and a gas station. Very happy we selected this spot.

This place was really good for us, clean, very spacious, well equipped and just comfortable. Sue was quick to reply and gave clear instructions. This place is also situated mins away from all the tourist attractions, eateries. We had two kids with us and it was as just so very fitting for us. Thanks so much Sue.

Absolutely loved this place! Wished we stayed longer. Beautiful place with an outstanding view. The place is spotless and you will find everything you need. The bed and linen is very comfortable. If you have mobility restrictions this place might not be for you as you need to walk down a few steps with your luggage. Otherwise this is a dream!

I thought it was a room under the hosts house however it turned out to be a lovely stand alone unit nicely decorated comfortable bed practical kitchen and lounge with lots of sun nice view of the lake and very peaceful I would highly recommend a stay at Irene's if you are in Taupo. It's a couple of minutes drive to the local dairy Bar and restaurant with nice food. And only about 5 or 6 minutes drive to the town centre

I had a great stay at Peter and Melanie's place. It was clean, spacious and private. Peter and Melanie were very kind and responsive. They had great recommendations for things to do in the area. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home ….. our hosts Marki and Chris were just wonderful and everything about the space and the surroundings was top notch. The furnishings, decor, attention to detail, lovely treats and overall vibe of the home was very special …. Walking distance to the most beautiful little bay, surrounded by nature was awesome. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

A wonderful place to stay. The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay. Rick was amazing to deal with and very quick and clear communication. We'll definitely return soon.
