This was by far the best accommodation we’ve stayed at. Toru was super responsive and helpful with any queries prior to check in. When we mentioned that we were going to BBQ, he gave recommendations for shops to buy meat and other groceries from. He even went the super extra mile and helped to set up the BBQ seats/equipment and even lit a fire for us with his own charcoal, all before we arrived!!! I believe Toru has far exceeded the bar for Japanese hospitality. Instead of feeling like a typical guest in any hotel/Airbnb stay, he made us feel like we were distant relatives visiting him for the day. Amenities in the house were amazing and perfectly maintained too! 11/10 would recommend this place. Bonus points cause there’s cats.

I stayed for two weeks and enjoyed Amakusa City.You can access the entire Amakusa area in about 30 minutes by car from here.It had almost everything you need for daily life, including appliances, cooking utensils, and seasonings, and I enjoyed cooking with the fish I caught and local ingredients.You can catch various fish at the port, which is a 1-minute drive away, making it a great place for those who love fishing and cooking.In addition, the owner is warm, and it is a lovely place to stay that makes you want to visit again.Super Zero, about a 7-minute drive, has delicious sashimi.The hot spring next door is also recommended.The scallops from the fishery cooperative and the horse mackerel in mirin were also delicious.

The cabin is really nice and well located. You can look a the sea by the window. Highly recommended!

The owner was very kind, and we had a very smooth interaction from check-in to check-out, and this was our first trip to Kagoshima, but we enjoyed it with great peace of mind.The view from the house in Satoyama where I stayed this time was very pleasant and open, and the usual breakfast felt more luxurious than usual.Also, the design of the sound equipment, projector, kitchen appliances, etc. that were placed in the room were very well stocked, so I couldn't drink the local shochu I bought for souvenirs, and I enjoyed the evening drinks.Thank you.I think you will have the opportunity to visit Kagoshima again someday, so if you want to do it again, please let me know.
