The Shop on the Bridge, Hawes

LeaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The Shop was a wonderful bolt-hole for our unexpected stay in Hawes after the Spine race. We were able to rest and recover in peace in this cosy apartment, that had everything we needed. When we did decide to venture out, being right in the centre of Hawes meant that we had a full range of shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants to visit right on our doorstep. Would recommend for any couples looking for a cosy stay in a beautiful part of the world - thank you Vanessa.

Beautiful spotless and comfy cottage in a great location in the centre of Hawes. Stuart and Jo are friendly and helpful hosts who clearly care that their guests enjoy their holiday. The local information pack was brilliant and the cottage has been meticulously renovated and kitted out with an outstanding attention to detail and with their guests in mind. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning Views over the Swale, Barn Cottage.

LauraRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a lovely stay in the cottage over New Year’s Eve. The wood burner made it feel very cosy, and it’s really well equipped - it has pretty much everything you might need for a few nights stay. The location is perfect for walking - we did a couple straight from the cottage, with really varied landscapes which were absolutely stunning, including rivers, big vistas and farmland, ending with an excellent pub in Gunnerside. Just a couple of things, which wouldn’t bring my review score down but worth noting - we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, which didn’t really matter to us but worth checking with Harriet if it’s an essential. Also, the hairdryer wasn’t great so worth bringing your own if your hair takes hours to dry like mine! Lastly, the sound system is pretty old and doesn’t have Bluetooth, so better bring a speaker if you like listening to music. Overall, we loved the cottage and had a fantastic stay!

Baugh Fell View near Hawes, the Dales

FionaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We would definitely recommend Baugh Fell. We stayed as a family of 4 with teenagers . Had some precious family time with no distractions! The property is immaculate and beautifully decorated and designed to a high standard. Oh and the welcome pack was amazing! Close to the train station and only 10 mins in the car to Hawes for shops, cafes etc. We drove to the 3 peaks which took about 30mins so fab location to explore the Yorkshore Dale's. We will definitely return and stay here again. Thank you for a fab, stress free stay. Fiona, Andy, Emily & Mathew
