This place is a hidden gem out here! everything is exactly as advertised. The scenery from the patio was just beautiful, and everything about the house was just perfect. The hosts are super responsive and friendly. Had a little trouble with the lock, but Erin the co-host got on the phone with us and we were able to get in after just a little bit of time. Overall a great stay, hopefully someday we’ll be back in the future. :)

Ruth's home was lovely to stay at! It felt very homey and clean. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. All the decor was nice and was interesting to look at. The covered deck with the view of the water was great too. Ruth was responsive to messages and let us rent her kayaks as well as lending us some fishing equipment and giving us some tips on good spots to fish and paddle. We loved our time in Port Alice and staying here was a big part of that.

It's always great to stay at a property where the host obviously cares about the comfort of the guest. I can't think of one item that we needed but couldn't find. It was perfect for cooking meals, had a big yard for playing, and was super close to the beach. The beds and furniture were cozy for the rainy days and Barb and Erin went out of their way to put smiles on my daughters faces. We will definitely be back.

This unit was a cozy spot in the forest. The unit was well appointed and very clean. The host offered great advise prior to my trip and made sure to let me know they were available should I need anything.

This little place is utterly perfect, Alert Bay is truly the most beautiful place to wake up at and with a Waterview it's even better

Wonderful place to stay! We come up every year and this place was the best we’ve ever stayed in. Clean, cozy, so nicely decorated and very well stocked. These hosts have thought of absolutely everything and put in a lot of attention to detail to make their place a home away from home. Will def stay with them again.

Sandra was great! She is a good communicator and was able to accommodate us when are situation changed.

Louise and Jim's place is comfortable and spacious, with a great water view. They were friendly, quick to respond, and accommodating. Everything you need for a relaxing time on Quadra!

Steve and Linda are simply good, down to earth people. Friendly and understanding. We wanted to do a beach day, and messaged to see if he had a cooler we could borrow. Within minutes there was a cooler outside out door! Definitely would recommend and will look here on our next visit.

This suite was perfect for coming up to Port Alice. It was big and spacious with great furniture with everything needed in the kitchen to cook anything you wanted to. Beds were confortable and the bedding was nice, warm and cozy. If you need a perfect place to get away while in Port Alice, this is it.

My wife and I, and our small labradoodle, spent a couple of at Becky’s place. The location was great as it was close to our extended family in Campbell River. The unit was private, clean and exactly as described. The ability to securely park our vehicle in the garage was a bonus (not that it is necessary, the location is in a beautiful and very safe neighbourhood). Would stay again.

Awesome spot! Spacious with gorgeous views. Clean outhouse that is surprisingly odour free. The propane fire ring is a thoughtful alternative to wood fires on the beach (banned on Quadra, we heard). Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic stay. Kelsey was a generous host. Their home was clean and comfortable with lots of space for our group to spread out. It's different then a lot of Airbnb's as it's actually their family home which means it's super well equipped. (Likely a throw back to when Airbnb's first started which is awesome) Access to a full kitchen including spices, lots of towels, comfy beds, and toys for kids! It was perfect for our group. Highly recommend booking for a group with children. You won't be disappointed.

I was looking for quiet and solitude on my trip and I got just that. House was rustic and cozy and my host had the wood fireplace going when I arrived which made it feel warm and welcoming.

We had a great time staying at Marni & Jeff's house. The house is well maintained and located just a few mins from the town. The backyard was great for our group. Would love to stay again!

We stayed on Doe Island for roughly 5 weeks, and had a wonderful time watching seals, porpoises, herons, stunning sunsets and beautiful starry nights. The cabin is definitely rustic, working off of water cisterns, a composting toilet, and solar/generator powered, but we were comfortable managing these. Steve was incredibly helpful and made sure we were comfortable, bringing over more water when needed and troubleshooting when we accidentally blew a fuse. The high speed internet made it possible for my daughter to work from there with a beautiful "office" view, seeing our resident seal visit every day! The provided kayaks made it easy to toodle around the harbour, and the crab pots - thrown right off the dock - provided some great meals. Steve helped out with our arrival and departure. It is also obvious that the host is in progress of upgrading areas of the island, so some spots look more in-progress than polished. Overall, the spot is absolutely gorgeous, the host is super helpful and hospitable, but it is definitely not a hotel -- you'll need to be aware of water and power consumption, and it is fairly isolated. Having your own boat to get around is recommended if you're there for an extended stay. (You can try checking with area marinas or other nearby places to park your car.) We'll definitely be going back!

Cathy is a Superhost in my books. She thought of every detail, communicated clearly, proactively and responsively. Easy check in/out process. The covered porch allowed us to sit outside by the ocean, even during inclement weather. Cathy had even turned on the fireplace for our arrival (it was a cold and rainy day)! Kitchen was stocked with essential cooking accessories, spices, oil, coffee, tea, etc. What a welcoming feeling!! Thank you so much! Highly recommend!!

Steve went above and beyond for our stay - truly a top notch host. Responsive and friendly, he made check in seamless and was on hand if we needed anything. The cabin was lovely - beds comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, bathroom sparkling. We absolutely loved the salt water hot tub (and we mean hot!) and the cozy wood fireplace when the rain came one night. Watching the porpoises, seals, otters and eagles was super relaxing, as was meandering around the harbour in our kayaks. Will definitely come back! Thanks Steve!

We had an amazing time at Cathy's place. We had a mix of sunny days and stormy days and in both it was amazing. Either beach combing for shells and crabs with my children or curled up by the fire watching the waves crash. Amenities are nice and close, felt very private and right at home. Clean and presented even better than the pictures. Would absolutely love to come stay again!

We had an incredible stay at the Founders villa. The air bnb had exceeded our expectations, the photos did not do the place justice. We did a fishing charter with Jeff which was a highlight for our group- would definitely recommend that! The general store had all the basic necessities in case you forget anything and all the staff were very helpful with assisting us to make sure we were taken care of. The beautiful views from each room, the sound of the creek beside the house, and the sound of a crackling fire made for a very peaceful retreat. We were very sad to leave when it was time to say goodbye. We hope to be back sometime!
