Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Mount Waddington

This BnB was a wonderful escape and peaceful place to stay while visiting our kids and Grandkids in Alert Bay. We loved the location, view, decor, and how comfortable the furniture was. We had a fabulous time and felt right at home. My husband and I said to each other several times during our 4 day stay, “I love this house!” The attention to detail and passion for the decor was a lovely surprise. It felt like an honour to be able to stay in this space. And, we saw Orcas and an impressive regatta go right by in front of the house! ❤️

Magical! We spent 3 nights at coal harbour for a special family reunion. The views are simply spectacular, the house has a lot of charm with the bonus of modern bathrooms, and is in a very private, serene setting. Definitely plan to cook a BBQ on the deck whilst spotting sea lions, eagles and whales! It's only a 15min drive from port hardy, and well positioned for some spectacular day trips if you want some unspoilt nature. Finally, Erin was an amazing host - very responsive, friendly and proactive in ensuring we enjoyed our stay.

It's always great to stay at a property where the host obviously cares about the comfort of the guest. I can't think of one item that we needed but couldn't find. It was perfect for cooking meals, had a big yard for playing, and was super close to the beach. The beds and furniture were cozy for the rainy days and Barb and Erin went out of their way to put smiles on my daughters faces. We will definitely be back.

This home is a gem! Lovely view of the ocean and mountains! So many windows and abundant daylight. Spacious suite with beautiful, high ceiling had a cozy lodge feeling. Wonderfully clean! Lori and Matt were excellent communicators and clearly proud home owners. We loved our stay and soon booking again for our next trip to the North Island!

We had a wonderful stay at Sally-Anne's place. Sally-Anne is a very responsive host and had great communication and was very helpful. The home was very clean. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything that we needed. We would definitely stay at Sally-Anne's again next time we are in Tahsis.

I can’t say enough how friendly and funny Denise and Don were throughout our stay. The property is absolutely stunning, and a real testament to Dons incredible wood working skills and Denise eye for details and art. If you want a warm, cosy beautiful stay, this is it. Everything was spotless from the bedding to the floors. Everything has even been hand built or brought for quality. Really nice touches throughout, from the very comfy bed to the excellent shower and every single beautiful hand crafted element. Just up the hill from the beautiful Telegraph Cove, perfect. Keep your cameras ready for bear friends! We missed them but it just shows how close to the wild locals the boat house lets you get. We can’t thank them both enough! Thank you for the great recommendation of the whale watching and the Alder Lake burger van! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

The cottage is truly in a location with stunning views of the ocean and the mountains. It is also a short walk (5-10 Minutes) down to the main part of town. The cottage is comfortable with good accommodations. Joe is very personable, friendly and communicative.

It’s a beautiful little place close to the harbour. It’s well equipped had everything we needed.. I would definitely stay again

Spectacular location across from the ocean. Beautiful, spacious home. Wonderful get away for a group of friends. We were blessed with perfect weather. thank you to Gavin and Linda for being so friendly and helpful.

I stayed at Steve’s suite and felt so comfortable last year. So, I booked it for my husband this time and he said he really enjoyed his stay thanks to Steve and his suite. We definitely recommend his suite to everyone!! Thanks again for your kindness, Steve.

This is a 5* Air B&B because there are so few reviews vs the number of comments in the visitor book the average has been artificially brought down. There are some old lower scoring reviews from 10+ years ago, place has been remodelled since then. One guest complained of spiders webs (this is deep in the country)! So so peaceful with wildlife such as deer and we got to see a hump back from the beach. The cottage is sympathetically decorated in keeping with its age and style. It is not a super modern Four Seasons - and all the better for it. Our host Lauren could not have been more helpful. Our ferry was delayed because of technical issues and Lauren not only kept us informed, she was extremely flexible about checking in. The freshly baked cookies on arrival were a very lovely touch. She was there if we needed anything but in no way intrusive - perfect host. If you seek peach and quiet in the middle of nature this is definitely the place for you - we loved it.

Very neat apartment, with everything you need to have a comfortable stay for a few days. Nice view and very quite neighborhood, with Emma and Taylor being very kind and happy to help with any questions. They also let us check-in early which was very helpful. Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance

The cabins were very well looked after and our stay was seamless.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Passage View. The location was perfect for our needs. The accommodation was cozy, very tidy, and well equipped with the essentials. We’d definitely stay again!

Stayed here for a week! It was very homey and fully equipped. The kids, activities and books were wonderful. The welcome cupcakes were delicious. It had everything you needed, and the hosts were very responsive. If we are ever in the area again we definitely would stay here, it was affordable and very clean. Being from another province to we appreciated the beach towels there. My only feedback is a folding drying rack for clothes might be helpful. There may have been one and maybe I missed it.

We enjoyed staying at Evelyn's. We were welcomed with a box of fresh local eggs. The suite was spacious with a great view of the water while cooking. Whenever we had any questions, she would answer all of them.

We had a fantastic trip and the house was exactly as described, with great amenities, including the sauna and hot tub that were very straightforward to use. It was nice to have all the kitchen utensils and the BBQ access as well.

Awesome little cabin by the beach, the photos and description are accurate and well aligned. We loved gazing out over the ocean and mountains, the grassy yard area was so lovely to have for our fur baby. Beach access was just a few steps away. And of course the hot tub was awesome to enjoy the views from too. The beds and linens were very comfortable and we slept great. You can hear some noise from the road but knowing Campbell River layout we expected this and it didn’t detract from our stay and at night it’s not much. Willow Point is just a few min walk away and has a small grocery store, restaurant, coffee shop and bakery. We were very comfortable and happy here and would absolutely stay again if in the area.

This place is exactly what it looks online. Beautiful view, peaceful surroundings, beside the water and a cosy cottage with everything you need. Cathy was a responsive host and we cannot wait to come back!

We had an incredible stay at the Founders villa. The air bnb had exceeded our expectations, the photos did not do the place justice. We did a fishing charter with Jeff which was a highlight for our group- would definitely recommend that! The general store had all the basic necessities in case you forget anything and all the staff were very helpful with assisting us to make sure we were taken care of. The beautiful views from each room, the sound of the creek beside the house, and the sound of a crackling fire made for a very peaceful retreat. We were very sad to leave when it was time to say goodbye. We hope to be back sometime!
