Absolutely beautiful location, stunning views, pristine house, comfy bed and very private. Only thing we’d note is the hot tub is super dark around it and it has no steps to get in or out which felt a bit dangerous with having the drop around the edge. Absolutely recommend this place, we loved it and beautiful location.

Very cozy place and stunningly beautiful location. Unfortunately, the spa broke right before our stay but Imogen let us know and even provided a discount to compensate! Overall wonderful stay and great host

Such a beautiful home with lots of character. Perfect spot for a few families and lots of room for the kids to run around outside. We loved our stay and will be back hopefully next snow season 😊

really good value, typical kiwi bach from the 1970s. had everything you needed including a very well kitted out kitchen with a full size fridge freezer. the pictures accurately described the place. we loved the Woodburner. our dogs loved playing outside. great for big family trips as loads of space. thanks Jacqui 😀

We had such memorable stay at Mary’s. Easy to find and so close to the lake. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable if felt like home. Mary gave us some great tips for local attractions and left us extra special treats just to make us feel welcome! Could not recommend highly enough.

Cute place in a beautiful town. The house is older with a few quirks, but very comfy and homey. The town is great with super nice people, a New World 2 minutes away (kinda like a mini walmart), and a bunch of cafés. The host even had a folder of all the local restaurants and activities with reviews available for us. Also, a major plus for Lord of the Rings fans, it's right next to "Mount Doom" from the movies. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in Ohakune :)

This spot was perfect for my partner and I as we were taking part in a sporting event in the South Waikato. It had everything we needed, was perfectly comfortable and cosy and we were even greeted by a lovely friendly doggo :) The host was responsive and helpful and had even made sure the cottage was toasty and warm when we got there as we were arriving quite late in the evening. We're likely to do the same event next year so we'll probably be back to stay here then, if we can!

Stunning view of Mount Ruapehu as you drive to Ohakune! Great region to explore or rest for the night! We needed a night’s rest before driving to Auckland all the way from Wellington, and I’m glad we chose her place. 5 stars!

Lovely location overlooking Lake Taupo and into the sunset. Spacious deck to relax, eat and enjoy the view. Helpful responsive host. Very clean and well equipped living areas. Lovely Millennium Hotel restaurant right across the street. Great location for a relaxing break.

Fantastic place with amazing views and a lovely fireplace to cosy up to in the weather we had. The home was spacious, very well equipped and we had everything we needed during our stay and more. WiFi had just been set up and worked well! Instructions were clear and Donna was quick to respond. Our family loved having such an easy, relaxing stay!

Beautiful location. Great house for our two family home holiday. Stayed in April and the heating was lovely. The heated pool was a nice surprise. Plenty of private areas if you needed space. Having access to the walking track by the lake was fantastic. House is starting to need some love but still a very lovely stay.

We’ve found Bayley’s house a great place to stay for family. The plunge pool is so big and we enjoyed it very much. Everything is same as described and Bayley’s instruction is clear. So everything went smoothly, we recommend this place!

Apartment is in a good location, not far from city centre. Clean, lots of dishes and cutlery. Good water pressure in the shower. Comfortable beds. Heat pumps helped, as was very cold outside. Good garage, enough space for two SUVs. I would recommend this place for family stay.

Great location in the heart of Taupo town. Walkable to several restaurants and the lakefront, yet far enough away to be peaceful. Really enjoyed the sliding wall of windows in the living room (and bedroom) that allowed in natural light and views of the lake. Lovely balcony too. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking a meal. Common areas of building were clean, tidy and secure. Pool looked very nice, although we did not use it.

Despite an initial hiccup, we had a fantastic time at Tracy and Damien’s home. Tracy was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will hopefully return to stay here again!

I’m not quite sure where to start, as there were so many great things about this holiday home. Firstly, thanks to our host for providing such a wonderful space for my family to stay and create happy memories together. We absolutely loved our time here! The property is very well maintained, both inside and out. (I think it’s even better than in the photos). It’s spacious yet cosy, with plenty of room to spread out, as well as great areas to hang out as a family. The kitchen is an excellent size and very well equipped. Of course the plunge pool is an added bonus that we really enjoyed, especially after a busy day of activities around Taupo. We appreciated the location as it’s away from the business of central town but close enough to easily get there in a couple of minutes by car. The neighbourhood is lovely and we really enjoyed walking around it and down to the lakeside. We would definitely highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Taupo.
