Lochwood Ski and Summer Cottage

Lochwood is a light, spacious and warm retreat. Scandi, homely decor. A home-away-from home with a well-equipped kitchen, espresso machine, and tea and coffee facilities. A reserve and playground are across the road with a tennis court and basketball hoop 2 minutes walk away. The Motuoapa Marina and Liquorice cafe are nearby. Excellent access to Lake Taupo, Tongariro crossing, Whakapapa skifield, Tongariro River track and bike tracks, the western bays, thermal pools and Lake Rotopounamu.

Welcome to ALBA, our little cottage. Located on a, semi-rural cul-de-sac 5 mins from Turangi. There is NO wifi Our cosy cottage has two bedrooms, large bathroom/laundry space and an open plan kitchen, dining, living area heated by a large heat pump. The mighty Tongariro River with its world famous trout fishing pools is at the end of the road, the Turangi township is a 5 min drive or a beautiful walk past the river and the Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro crossing are only 40mins away.

A beautiful new spacious modern home in Motuoapa on lake Taupo, only 30 minutes from Taupo and 45 minutes from Whakapapa ski field. Great location to enjoy the lake for water skiing or fishing. The new marina /boat ramp is just 500m away. Enjoy the world famous trout fishing on the Tongariro river less than 10 minutes down the road. A/C upstairs and downstairs for summer cooling or winter heat. The amazing Tongariro Crossing track starting point at Mangatepopo is just 45 minutes away.

Our home is a great central base for the many activites the wider area has to offer including skiing, mountain biking, walking tracks and water sports on Lake Taupo.
