Super apartment in a very quiet part of Saintes, at only a 10 minutes walk from the historic center. Parking right in front of the house! The apartment is super spacious and practical, and the deco is top. We loved the outside space where we took our breakfast in the morning sun. Very relaxing!! This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

A dreamlike house in the idyll of west France! We had a wonderful time as a family in the beautiful house Colibri in Médis. We are very thankful for Hélène and Delphine being warmly welcoming to us and tremendously friendly, uncomplicated and extremely helpful. For our first stay on the island of Oléron we were delighted with the house of our hosts which is very welcoming, very well equipped and has a large garden. There are many advantages to these days in this house, especially for the interior space and its layout but also for the proximity to the beach, shops, market... Françoise and her husband were very attentive and friendly throughout our stay and we will happily return there.

Wonderful stay. Everything one needs was there. Staircase to the top two bedrooms somewhat challenging. Great location to explore the Winelands in Bordeaux. Will recommend.

Great weekend in this place, I recommend. If you want to walk around, the accommodation is 5 minutes from the Royan coast. Hélène was very responsive and cordial.
