Sweet home in a medieval castle

Located in a small greenwood valley in the center of medieval village of Dargoire, halfway between the city of Lyon and the town of Saint-Étienne (about 30km/19 miles by motorway), 10 minutes away from the "Autoroute du Sud" (which is France main motorway going south). A very calm and soothing place, far away from the city pollution and hubbub. Ideal to have a break and get fresh ideas. The apartment is located in a paved street in the old medieval center of the village and in its ramparts. This is a 55m² fully refurbished apartment which contains two independent bedrooms ( a double and a single), a small bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, a spacious dining room fitted with a kitchen (a fridge with a freezer section, a gas cooker with 4 burners and an oven, a dishwasher, a coffeemaker, and so on), a small living room with satellite TV and a marble dining table, and a small corner office. The flat would perfectly suit three adults, with a possibility to host two more childrens thanks to the convertible sofa. However, it will not suit disabled people since it is on the first floor with no elevator. It is located very close to the "Monts du Lyonnais" (mountains around Lyon) and to the National Naturel Park of the Pilat, to the city of Lyon and the town of Saint-Étienne and Vienne, which are all about 30 minutes away. In the village you may find some young farmers who produce local products (such as vegetables, fruits, full organic wines, traditional cheese and yogurts). Eric, husband's Yvette, is fascinated by drama and is a theatre company leader. He also does voluntary work for the Rhino-Jazz's festival (a jazz festival which occurs every year in the area) and will be more than able to inform you about all the good cultural activities to be seen and done in the area.

Our cottage is located in the heart of the Lyonnais Mountains in a privileged location away from the noise and hustle and bustle. Completely new, bright, functional and modern, come and recharge your batteries in our green setting for a weekend or more! The accommodation is adjacent to our accommodation, but you are totally independent. As you can see from the photos, a green space is available in front of the cottage and on the ground floor to enjoy the outdoors without being overlooked!

Brand new since October 2022. Small independent cottage 16 m² with access through the garden, consisting of a bedroom with kitchenette, bathroom and toilet, overlooking a large wooded garden. Closed parking on the property. Not overlooked, absolute calm, south-facing. Private 16 m2 wooden terrace equipped with a sitting area. In season (end of May to mid-September depending on weather) you will enjoy the heated pool to relax and enjoy the view. Petanque court for amateurs.

Small studio, independent, brand new, in the center of a historic village. 30 min from Lyon Very quiet place, wake up to the sound of the bells! Can accommodate up to three people (an alcove with a new double bed) and a brand new sofa bed for one person (120 wide).
