The house is even more beautiful once you’re there. Pictures do not do it justice. So many comfortable amenities that make you feel at home. Beds are very comfortable, everything is spotless and we spent many nights by the fire on the screened porch and mornings looking out over the lake. The host was fabulous and so responsive. This will be the ONLY place we stay when we visit family in NC.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and cozy lakefront property. The home was spotless and inviting, with a perfect setup for a relaxing getaway. Being right by the lake made it even more special; our family had a blast using the kayaks and other lake toys provided. There was a small hiccup during our stay, but Amanda was incredibly responsive and proactive. She went above and beyond by offering us a later checkout time to make up for it—such thoughtful hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of outdoor fun. We’d love to come back!

Spent the weekend here with some friends for a weekend getaway on the lake. The property was perfect, had plenty of space, was clean and felt right at home. Was able to bring my boat and use the open boat slip on the dock which worked out great! Joel was super helpful and proactive with doing anything that he could to make our stay better. Overall a great house if you’re looking for a stay on the lake in a quiet private neighborhood. Would definitely recommend!

This property reminded me of our childhood summer vacations spent at Uncle Bill's place on the lake. The family carried in our luggage and 'stuff,' and that was the last that the car was used, at least for the kids. The summer will be prime weeks for this property. We picked this property because of its proximity to the BSA Camp Barnhardt, where the Nordic Forge Festival was held. But the outside sitting area with the hot tub far outshone the other options. The first night, we were settled in and using it before sundown. We stayed out there until after the street lights came on. The evening ended with a long soak in the hot tub. Our son brought us breakfast in the morning, and we sat at the kitchen bar and enjoyed the company before we headed to the festival. Our son was impressed to the point of suggesting we book this place whenever we're in the area. The place passed my hook test. There were hooks where you needed them. In the bathroom, hang a bathroom kit. Till next time

Adorable home with a beautiful view of the lake. The screen porch was lovely and where we spent most of our time at the house. We grilled two of the three evenings and went into nearby Albemarle one night for dinner. Neighborhood is quiet and neighbors were very nice. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Please keep in mind, if you are bringing a boat, make sure you bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle as the driveway is very steep, and we had to park in the gravel at the top of the hill.
