Chalet vacation rentals in Montgellafrey

Overall: Came for a winter skiing week with 3 adults and 2 children. Everyone was very satisfied with this very nice chalet -- but prepare yourself for some low ceilings. Pros: Larger than we were expecting. Split toilet and shower helps with larger group. Lots of places to dry your wet items. Area outside for kids to play in snow with toys and sled(ge)s available. Sheltered picnic table just outside the front door. Able to borrow a variety of cooking equipment for making local delicacies. Extremely helpful host. Beautiful interior and exterior. Cons: You WILL bump your head on the large ceiling joist over the beds in the 3-bed room. No matter how much you think you have learned where it is, you haven't. On the last day while packing achieved concussion level impact with this joist, despite a week of experience. Other low areas such as over stairs could be an issue for a taller person. Garage has limited space for accessing vehicle and we parked only half into the garage.

We had a very pleasant stay in Laurence's chalet. Ideally located on the slopes, start and return on skis. This location is for those looking for peace and proximity to nature. I warmly recommend this atypical place hoping to return.

Met our expectations if not more! Everything we were looking for was there...calm and authenticity. Flawless accommodation, from the choice of decoration to cleanliness, not to mention the little extras that make the difference and the success of a stay. We had a great weekend with friends at Laurence's cottage! This former farmhouse has been very well restored, normally the barn upstairs which offers a magnificent volume and many rooms.

Great summer stay, great view and excellent chalet configuration! Ideal for large families, and well equipped for large groups, especially in the kitchen. Which is rare to be highlighted! Very kind host.

We spent a few days in the cottage and everything was perfect! We were three couples. The bedrooms are nice, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets are great. The view from the living room is absolutely stunning. The place is very quiet while being close to the resort. A big thank you to Carole,who takes care of hosting, for her kindness and good humor! Great flexibility on check-in and check-out times and it's very nice.

The experience has been wonderful. The house had a lot of charm and was in an idyllic place. Just a 10 minute drive or bus to Méribel ski resort. We felt right at home and would love to repeat. Very grateful for the kindness of Arnaud and the lady who helped us when we arrived.

Very large cottage at the foot of hiking trails. A quiet place, ideal to recharge your batteries. We were 8 adults and a baby, we could easily have been 2 more adults. The Jacuzzi is a real plus!

Melanie and Nico were the best Airbnb hosts we've ever encountered. As soon as we arrived, we were met with so much kindness and a huge surprise! Throughout the week, they always made sure we were good by scheduling shuttle times for the mountain, providing us with daily food menus to order from, and coming to help us when we didn't know how to use the coffee machine. The house itself is incredible! It was a beautiful feeling to dip in the hot tub, sauna, or pool after a long day on the slopes. The view of the mountains from the house was one of the best views we've seen. It was also easy to navigate into the Arcs. From the house, it's about a 10-15-minute walk to Arcs 1600, and from there, it's super easy to take the bus to the other Arcs. If you want an incredible, relaxing, unforgettable experience, book with Melanie and Nico. You won't regret it!

We had a fantastic stay at this chalet! It was exceptionally well-equipped with everything we could possibly need and more. The host was really accommodating. The adults particularly enjoyed the pool table and the selection of board games, while our child was absolutely thrilled with the amazing array of toys and books available. It truly catered to all ages and made for a relaxing and fun getaway. We highly recommend it!

Chalet as described with an amazing view. Alexandra had taken the necessary steps to prepare the premises before we arrived, and adapted to our checkout schedule. I recommend it for those who are looking for discretion and tranquility.

What can I say, the chalet is fabulous! Sally was super helpful from booking to checking out. She gave us tips for places to eat, ski hire , arranging passes and travel. The hot tub was a welcome relief for tired legs after a days skiing. The beds were really comfortable, and the linen was pristine. The chalet had everything we needed, with plenty of space for everyone to relax, have fun and enjoy our break away. The supermarket is really close, and there is a fantastic patisserie down the road in town. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

We had a great time at Josiane's; the setting is very beautiful, the accommodation is quiet and functional. We enjoyed the friendly welcome from our host and their hospitality. The location of the accommodation allowed us to take very nice hikes and access the heart of the village easily without taking the car.

Pascal's cottage is friendly and extremely peaceful, you are lulled by the sound of the river and the calm of the mountain. The amenities available in the house allow you to cook all the small dishes of the mountain. The lifts are 5 minutes away, only the Saint Colomban estate is off-center from the Domaine des Sybelles. I would highly recommend it! Pascal is a attentive and caring host.

This is an amazing place to stay for a large family. Isabelle was great to deal with and replied to messages very quickly. The rooms are spacious and well thought out. The outside area is great for dining etc. The house has everything you need. thanks for having us.

Perfect accommodation for a family gathering, access close to the ski resort, very peaceful environment. The only downside in my opinion is the price of electricity to be added at the end of the stay. We had it for 107 euros without excess and without using the sauna ...
