A walk along the nearby street Marmorata, and the river Tevere on your left side, will lead to all the major historic sites: Piazza Venezia, the Bocca della Verità, the Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori, Coliseum and across the river to the Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican Museums. Another walk leads to the Trevi Fountain, the beautiful Spanish Steps and the shopping area of Via del Corso. It’s easy to reach Trastevere neighborhoods, the first famous for its tasty trattorias, disco pubs and the Porta Portese market (open only on Sundays), the second for its narrow streets, full of restaurants and small shops open until late at night. The area around the apartment has lots of trattorias, pizzerias, and high-class restaurants where you can taste typical Roman cuisine, and cafés and wine bars where you can have a drink at the end of a day spent admiring the wonders of Rome.
