From the kitchen you then enter the open-plan lounge/bedroom where there is a king sized bed with feather and down duvet and pillows and white bed linen and towels.

The accommodation, which is decorated as a separate building, is comfortable, quiet, and fully equipped, so I was satisfied for 4 days. In particular, the host was a kind person who gave strawberries harvested from the farm twice. If I ever come back to Sky Island, I'd love to come back again.

Great stay in a lovely cottage and super dog friendly which makes it so much easier. Hosts were very responsive, water went off a couple of mornings but after a quick message to our hosts it was fixed within 30 minutes and they also brought big bottles of spare water round for emergency. Definitely recommend this stay and we will be back!!

Skye Earth House is a really special place. The building is set beautifully into the landscape with everything finished stylishly and to the highest specification (great choice of local interest books!) . But what makes it spectacular is the setting: hidden away at the end of a farm track, beautiful views out over the loch, sheep and cows grazing over the fence, and even a medieval fort to discover just a short walk away. All this, and the house is within easy distance of Portree and Uig so it’s ideal for exploring the island. Peter was a great, communicative host. Highly recommended!

We had an enjoyable week in Uig. The accommodation had everything we wanted and more than you usually find in holiday let's. Great location for seeing the sites in the northern part of Skye. Local pub and takeaway tried and were good. the little local supermarket was good also.
