This is the second time we have stayed at The Shack. We originally went for a weekend but felt like it wasn’t long enough so booked for the week! We really enjoyed our time here, it’s such a relaxing little spot with all the cozy comforts to make it such an enjoyable break from reality. Sam is incredible helpful and responsive and has done everything she can to make your stay perfect! We will definitely be back again or potentially even try their other property! Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful stay at Joe's place during autumn school holidays. In an age where many short-term rentals feel just transactional, Joe’s place was built and decorated with care and love, not just as a rental property. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surrounding area is beautiful and very quiet. It’s a great escape from busy city life. We loved seeing kangaroos and various birds nearby and the local beach is also very beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay. Loved that we could walk to the creek to kayak/paddle board, or walk along the beach to the crystal clear ocean, or walk to the end of the beach and enjoy the mermaid rock pool. A couple minutes drive to Swan lake and we had another location for launching our kayak/paddle board. While it's a good idea to pick up groceries for the stay, there are still some options to eat our or pick up groceries in Sussex. Sandy was right, the flavors at the Silver spoon Thai restaurant are amazing! So good. We saw plenty of kangaroos in the neighborhood. Sandy and her husband were lovely. Up for a chat while also very respectful. We really appreciated all of the impromptu conversations full or recommendations for the area. Thank you Sandy,
