Der Hallstättersee ist nur 30m entfernt und von den Räumlichkeiten und vom Garten hat man einen wunderbaren Seeblick. Auf der Terrasse kann man bei Kaffee die Morgensonne genießen. 100-year-old log cabin, which was demolished in the neighboring village in 2008 and rebuilt at our organic mountain farm. Particular care was taken in the use of natural building materials (reed, clay plaster, old wood). Traditional larch shingles serve as roofing. The house is heated by a large kitchen stove and a solar thermal system. The bathroom has underfloor heating. The cozy little house (75 m²) served as our residence for 10 years.

The house is in a very quiet, sunny and impressive location with a view over the village of Flattach. The Mölltaler Gletscher valley station is about 8 kilometers from our house. About two kilometers away there is the ADEG Aktiv Markt, a trafik, two sports shops with rentals as well as a flower and souvenir shop as well as a cafe, a pizzeria and a bar with dining options.

Tanja and her in-laws, who manage the cottage, are very friendly and helpful. The location is of course fantastic and the cottage very nice. It should be noted that the electricity is provided by generator and is only available at a very reduced rate (light) between 9 PM and 6 AM. The heating is a furnace heater, which is good to know at this altitude and the temperatures there. Communication was good. The journey can be a little intimidating if you are new to the mountains - the navigation system says 100 km/h on mountain roads and thus calculates the travel time earlier. But you're more likely to be traveling at 30-50 km/h. It's good to find your way

Very clean apartment equipped with every comfort, it is in an optimal location to be able to hike in the area and to go to the Molltaler glacier, very close to a supermarket where you can also have breakfast with a self-service and take-away machine. Parking right in front of the house entrance. Well-functioning Wi-Fi. What can I say... We had a really nice vacation. Thanks Birgit

Beautiful place, fantastic amenities, safe, quiet surroundings. Sauna is incredible, rooms and furnishings are wonderful. 15minute drive to great skiing, 1hr to ice skating, lovely restaurant in Flattach, supermarket 5mins drive. great coffee machine, great tv, loads of kitchen utensils. boot warmer, and heated towel rails are a nice touch close to waterfalls and a river, perfect for traffic free scenic walks. hard to fault.

Quiet alpine hut in the heart of the Carnic Alps

After a short meeting with Helmut, we drove up a large part of the mountain to the Enzianhütte. From there, we made an ascent together for about 30 minutes up to the Mauthner Alm. This was quite a challenge for us lowlanders (Lower Saxony), quite steep and close to the abyss, but with fantastic views. Kindly, Helmut even carried some of our luggage up. The location of the hut is really beautiful, a pure idyll with magnificent views in the midst of grazing cows, which often pay a visit. The hut is very spacious and comfortably furnished, you will find everything you need for a few days on the alpine pasture. The fact that we forgot our toothpaste in the car was not bad at all, as a call to the operators of the Enzianhütte was enough and the very friendly operators remedied the situation. You can also eat and drink very deliciously there. Overall it was an unforgettable experience that we would love to repeat.

The villa is beautiful, modern, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Everything related to the villa was perfect, from the parking space for four cars to the spacious rooms and nice bathrooms. The living room with the fireplace and kitchen added to the overall enjoyment. The terrace and garden with a barbecue are a special highlight, where we spent most of our time, enjoying the stunning view. We would definitely return again.

The house was very cool with old farm house feel. The stairs are steep inside so be aware if you have kids but my three and six year old did fine. There were many switch backs getting to the house. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The sauna was a nice treat as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay
